The Best Video Games Coming in 2023 - Editors' Choice

While still finishing this year's scarce hits, we are already looking ahead to next year's potential blockbusters. Already the first quarter of 2023 should bring quite a few of them – so here's a ranking of the most anticipated games by Gamepressure.

Table of Contents

11. Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Sony Interactive Entertainment, 2023

  1. Genre: Open-world action-adventure
  2. Release date: 2023
  3. Developer: Insomniac Games
  4. Platform: PlayStation 5

In 2018, Insomniac's Marvel's Spider-Man proved that it is possible to make a great, addictive superhero game with an open world. Playing as Peter Parker, we indulged in the brilliant mechanics of swinging on the webs among New York's skyscrapers. Two years later, with the launch of PlayStation 5, we returned to the snow-covered Manhattan for a slightly shorter adventure, this time as Miles Morales – the second Spider-Man. Recently, both games finally became available to PC players, including all the amenities that this platform offers.

In 2023, Spider-Man will return in a full-fledged sequel Marvel's Spider-Man 2, initially available exclusively on PlayStation 5. It's known that the formula of the game will be similar and we will again spend a lot of time on spectacular combat and swinging around New York on spider webs. In the sequel, we will also control both well-known heroes: Parker and Morales, and their main opponent will be Venom. We still have to wait for the remaining details and even a gameplay trailer.
