Fans of The Elder Scrolls are eagerly awaiting news of another installment coming, but it doesn't look like anything will be announced anytime soon. Instead, Bethesda releases Skyrim on all available platforms, and modders upgrade it in all possible ways. But rather than one of the fine mods to Skyrim, we recommend one for its elder brother – the all-time classic, Morrowind, which is another heavily modded game from the series.
LITTLE BROTHER NEEDS A FACELIFT TOO
(Almost) Every Oblivion Texture Enhanced is a modification that improves the graphics of the fourth entry in the cycle – Oblivion has gotten textures scaled to 4K and 8K. Importantly, the mod does not affect the game other than visually.
Morrowind Overhaul - Sounds and Graphics is a huge collection of mods comprehensively refining the visual and sound layer of this 16-year-old game. The changes start with high-resolution textures and improved animations, and end with completely new elements filling this somewhat empty world. I also mentioned the sounds – the game's soundtrack is incredibly atmospheric, but more nature sounds haven't hurt anyone. In other words, in Vvardenfell you can feel (or rather hear) life!
Installation
The mod has its own installer and lets you select the desired effects.
Morrowind Overhaul requires both official additions (Tribunal and Bloodmoon) as well as the English language version. In the case of translated editions, the use of the mod is impossible.
