War Games that aren't About Killing

War never changes. But perception thereof by players does. Here are nine games that deal with the subject of war in an unconventional way – rarely encouraging the player to behave like John Rambo on speed.

Plane Mechanic Simulator

A list such as this could not be complete without mechanic sims. In Plane Mechanic Simulator we, of course, repair planes. There's many different types of damage to deal with: shattered windows with blood stains, broken landing gear, shattered propellers, not to mention the mighty engines.

It is a fairly typical, low-budget simulator. It's not anything wild in terms of technology (and sometimes gets real glitchy), and its mostly dedicated to people already interested in the subject. However, it may turn out to be an alternative for those who prefer to look at the war from a different perspective. There is even a campaign, in which the lives of the crew depend on our work.
