Action games. Wide category of games that require reflex, accuracy and agility. It includes, among other things, shooters (e.g. Call of Duty and Battlefield series) and action-adventure games (Tomb Raider). First and third person perspective (FPP/TPP) is used. In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Such titles put less emphasis on action and combat, focusing more on story, exploration and puzzles.

Continuation of the 1999 hit. This is an action game set in the open world of cars, in which the player takes on the role of a policeman acting under the cover. The missions focus mainly on impressive chases or the shortest possible route from A to B. A novelty in relation to the first part of the cycle is to allow the main hero to leave the vehicle he controls.
Turok 2: Seeds of Evil Remastered

Turok 2: Seeds of Evil Remastered is a remaster of the cult FPP shooter, developed by Night Dive. Many changes were made in the game: visuals, interface, gameplay mechanics, etc. The game now runs on Kex Engine 3.4, the enemies' A.I. was improved (now they can attack in groups and run away if required) and so was the character's movement (i.e. the hero can now climb onto some of the environmental elements).
Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash

In Peach Beach Splash, the female ninja adepts take part in a water gun tournament – the victorious team will have its single wish granted. The players are given a wide arsenal consisting of ten types of weapons, each equipped with two firing modes that can be switched at will.
Halo 5: Forge

A free tool for the owners of the PC edition of Halo 5: Guardians, acting both as map editor and a way to play fan made levels. Initially, it has been the work of the team at 343 Industries and was supposed to be a PC version of the popular Forge mode, known from the main entries in the Halo series. Additionally, the players could create their own maps or game modes, than use them in Halo 5 on consoles.

A first-person survival horror developed by independent studio Elastic Games. Last Year draws inspiration from typical slasher films. At the core of gameplay lies asymmetrical multiplayer designed for up to 6 players. In Last Year five players play as typical American teenagers, while the sixth assumes the role of a psychopath, hunting down the rest. In the game each hero has a particular role to play, and the key to success is proper cooperation and using each character’s strengths.
Blackwake

A multiplayer-oriented first-person perspective action game developed by an independent developer Mastfire Studios. Blackwake focuses on sea battles, which can be joined by up to 64 players, assuming the roles of the crew members of individual ships. Their job is to man the ship – beginning with loading and operating the cannons, through repairing and patching up the hull, draining the water, and up to delivering supplies and boarding enemy vessels.
Argo

An online tactical FPP shooter built around team battles, developed by Bohemia Interactive studio. It is a conversion of 2011 military simulator Arma III. Argo takes the players to a fictional island of Malden, which is a new version of a location from 2001 title Operation Flashpoint from the same developer.

An action game developed by Japanese studio Tamsoft for the portable console PlayStation Vita. The main characters of Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni are teenage female warriors that are the victims of the mysterious V virus which gave them paranormal abilities. The girls are living on an island isolated from the world and together they fight hordes of mutants. The mechanics of Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni are similar to ones used in classic Japanese TPP hack and slash games like Devil May Cry.

A cyberpunk top-down shooter with roguelike elements, developed by 10tons - the creators of Crimsonland. The story of Neon Chrome takes place in the near future. The players assume the role of an augmented mercenary whose task is to kill the Overseer of a grand skyscraper that belongs to one of the world's most powerful corporations. Gameplay-wise, the developers drew inspiration from oldschool shooters. Our task boils down to eliminating subsequent hordes of enemies with all kinds of firearms.
Gemini: Heroes Reborn

A first-person action adventure game and an adaptation of Heroes Reborn, a science-fiction drama broadcasted on NBC. It revives the legend of the original series that aired from 2006 to 2010. The game is a prequel, taking place before events of the new mini-series and is linked with Enigma: Heroes Reborn, a game released at the same time for mobile devices. We follow a 20-year-old girl, Cassandra, who discovers her supernatural abilities, and decides to use them to solve the mystery of her past.

An extensive remake of Wild Guns, a classical action game that was initially released in 1994 for SNES. It was developed by Natsume in cooperation with the creators of the original. The game’s plot combines elements of western with science fiction and cyberpunk and tells the story of two protagonists: a girl named Annie, who wishes to take revenge on the Kid’s gang, and a bounty hunter, Clint, helping her. Mechanics-wise, it is a combination of arcade rail shooter and a third-person action game.

Multiplayer shooter in MOBA convention. It is the first title of the independent developer Nuke Cockroach studio and is distributed in free-to-play model with microtransactions. Veterans uses isometric view and focuses on online PvP battles of teams or individual players. We take control of the titular veterans and fight on 30 different battlefields using a vast array of weaponry, various combat vehicles and useful gadgets.
