A 3-match puzzle game, set in the universe of the famous Magic: The Gathering card game, related to the popular Puzzle Quest series by Infinite Interactive. During the game we take on the role of a Planeswalker, who, through spells and summoned creatures, fights with other adepts of magical arts. Duels come down to skillfully placing at least three elements of the same type in a row. Depending on what symbols we combine together, each match can result in, for example, casting a spell or using an object from the inventory. Magic: The Gathering – Puzzle Quest could not, of course, do without typical elements of a card game. Thus, we collect cards during the game that represent characters, spells, artifacts, etc. Then we use them to build our own deck, which is used during a duel allows us to achieve different effects and employ different combat strategies.

A turn-based strategy game set in a steampunk world and inspired by both the mechanics of the Puzzle Quest series and the works of such writers as Herbert Wells or Jules Verne. Ironcast is set in an alternative version of the Victorian England, and the country has been at war with France for a decade. When the French are beginning to gain the upper hand in the conflict, a private association is founded in order to produce cutting-edge combat mechs. The player battles subsequent skirmishes that utilize the mechanics once introduced in the so-called "match-3" logic games. During each turn, the player can match objects on the map up to three times, erasing elements which symbolize money, ammo, energy, repairs, or the mech's cooling system. Afterwards, those are used to reinforce the player's combat machines, as well as to activate different special abilities. The in-game campaigns are randomly generated, and each time, the player's goals are to stop the forces of the French, and defeat their boss in a final fight.

In contrast to other games of this genre, this time the objects aren’t moved on the map, but dropped from above and the gameplay takes place in turns. Combining various expensive gems into jewelry is awarded with points - the longer the chains the more points. Love Rocks Starring Shakira contains almost 150 levels, featuring famous places from all over the world, such as Taj Mahal and El Dorado, in the background. An extensive logic game belonging to the so-called match 3 subgenre; it was developed by Playrix Games. The player assumes the role of a gardener whose task is to restore a parcel back to its former glory and discover the secrets of the place along the way. The entire game is set in a large garden divided into several sections. In terms of mechanics, typical "match-3-objects" rules were applied here. Thus the player's goal is to match pictures of different plants together to create spectacular-looking combinations, which results in scoring an adequate number of points. Those can be spent on gradual expanding of the parcel. The experience is diversified by numerous bonuses and hacks, such as stopping the passage of time for a short while. Between subsequent levels, the player is taken to story-based segments - during those, the protagonist can talk to different characters, buy new garden accessories and plant more and more beautiful pieces of greenery.

The story once again focuses on Stella the witch, whose task is to defend a magical world from the evil cat called Wilbur. The antagonist kidnaps the Fairy Queen and imprisons good ghosts and friendly owls. The gameplay in Bubble Witch 3 Saga still focuses on shooting colorful bubbles at the ones hanging in the upper part of the board. You have to match bubbles of the same color together — by matching at least three of them, you gain points and bonuses. In the story campaign, your task is to defeat the magical barrier created by Wilbur. Other game modes include the multiplayer mode and the collecting mode, in which you play until you clear the whole board. There is also an option to expand the witch's house, full of various gadgets. The game features pleasant cartoonish 2D visuals.

Only the animals led by dog Alec are left to resolve that crisis. Gameplay encompasses turn-based battles with undead taking place on more than 200 arenas - two-dimensional battlefields made of square fields filled with colorful elements. Combining at least three fields with the same color will summon one of several animals with different battle skills. The game comes with a variety of enemies, obstacles on the field and a huge number of bonuses that change an arrangement of the elements on the field.

A match-3 puzzle game developed by King for mobile devices and social network services. The gameplay in Candy Crush Saga is very simple. The player is tasked with moving (vertically or horizontally) the candies on the map in such way so that they combine into groups of at least three identical ones. Candies combined in such way disappear and the player receives points. Each level features specific objectives to meet, such as obtaining specified high score or combining a predetermined number of specific candies. The game is more interesting thanks to various bonuses such as explosives which can be detonated after matching a larger number of candies in one go. These explosions can clear large parts of the level at once. The game features colorful, “cartoonish” graphics and it employs a typical free-to-play distribution model with microtransactions.

Another installment in the popular series of puzzle games developed by King. Since 2012, the series has become extremely popular among mobile platform and Facebook users. Candy Crush Soda Saga expands the ideas known from the previous installments of the series. The main objective of the game is, as always, to combine the elements found on the board into groups of at least three objects of the same type. However, this time, in addition to the candies, the game also features sodas. One of the main tasks is to use them to fill the levels. The core mechanics remain the same: player must connect colored water in the bottle with a candy that has the same color. The task must be completed within a limited number of moves. The less moves are used, the bigger the score. The game features colorful graphics similar to its predecessors.

A logical match-3 game featuring elements typical for fighting games – Evolve: Hunters Quest, developed by 2K games is a production based on the free-to-play business model with optional microtransactions. The player gets to visit the world known from the popular shooter called Evolve. The plot of Hunters Quest goes in line with its original – a squad of futuristic hunters have to fight beasts inhabiting an alien planet, exept the gameplay mechanics are slightly different. During the missions (there are over 100 of them), the player fights the monsters on maps divided into 56 fields filled with multiple symbols representing attacks and both offensive and defensive actions. The player is tasked with connecting these symbols into groups of three or more. The results of one’s actions can be seen in the 3D preview of the battle. For each victory, the player is awarded a number of experience points that can be spent on developing the hunters and unlocking new abilities for them.

A mobile logic game developed by the Finnish developer Motorious Entertainment. As the title suggests, the game is based on the popular TV show – Top Gear, aired by BBC Britain. In Top Gear: Road Trip, the player gets to travel across Great Britain, France, Italy, and other regions of Europe. During the game, one not only visits the aforementioned territories but also participates in multiple races, acquires new cars, and completes tasks based on the challenges from the TV show. When playing the game, the player has access to two separate parts of the screen – on the first one, they observe the action from the inside of a car, which allows them to control the situation on the track and quickly react to anything that might happen (the driving mechanics are typical for match-3 games). The bottom part of the screen is populated with colorful symbols, which the players have to manipulate in order to create combinations of 3 pieces in the same color. Such sequences influence the movement of the driven car. What is worth mentioning, particular tracks can be completed multiple times in order to beat one’s best scores, as well as those set by players from all around the world.

When you clear one of them, just like in any other match-3 game, the ones above them fall down, often diametrically changing the whole board. If two components of the same kind touch, they explode. Another obstacle is the limited capacity of the ingredients container. Potion Explosion features a single player mode, in which you play against the AI, and a multiplayer mode, in which you compete with other players. There is also an online ranking to display you accomplishments.

The player's goal is to defend scientist against hordes of zombies. A path leads to each of the eggheads and several kinds of brains are distributed throughout it; these attract zombies that in turn, eat them. The player's task is to combine three identical brains into groups, which makes them disappear, and as a result, the same happens to zombies willing to eat them. Combining the brains together earns the player points that allow them to unleash different special powers, such as immobilizing the enemy for a specified period of time. The pace of gameplay in Zombie Match Defense is slow, however, for the zombies move only after the player does. On the other hand, the game is not easy and requires good planning. Zombie Match Defense offers hilarious visuals.

A simple puzzle action game that represents the ‘match-3’ subgenre. It is a mobile spin-off of the jRPG series Yo-Kai Watch known from 3DS consoles. Success in doing that allows performing attacks during duels with enemies on which the whole game is focused. During the game yokai are constantly fighting in a round container and the player has no time to carefully plan his moves as a good reflex is required for the success. Yo-Kai Watch Wibble Wobble offers story campaign in which the world is divided into few zones. Reaching each of them requires defeating creatures guarding the entrance. During the game new yokais are gradually unlocked and the abilities of already obtained ones improves.

Stellar: Galaxy Commander is a space battle strategy game by King, utilizing a free-to-play model with microtransactions. The gameplay consists of turn-based fights against an opposing space armada. The screen shows two boards covered by a square grid; each board belongs to one of the sides of the conflict. Units randomly appear on the boards, and your task in to manipulate them in such a way so that you create lines of at least three identical units, like in a match-3 game. It allows the ships to merge into a more powerful one, and its type depends on the units that were used in the combination. The battle is won by the player who manages to destroy the opponent's main unit, stationed in the back. The game focuses on multiplayer PvP battles, but also allows you to play against the AI. You can also gather heroes with unique abilities to help you.

In Battle Chef Brigade, the player assumes the role of one of the available chefs, participating in cooking competitions, similar to those featured in numerous TV shows such as Iron Chef. The only difference is that the game is set in a fantasy world, and acquiring particular ingredients requires the player to visit diverse locations and find them on their own. Not all ingredients can be simply picked up - some have to be fought over, while others can be created after combining several items. For example, the player cuts down a Venus flytrap, luring a a chicken, which, having eaten the plant, lays an egg. The cooking itself is based on the match-three rules. Particular ingredients feature various tastes, and combining the same tastes provides better scores. Between the cook-offs, the player can visit the town, practice his skills, and interact with NPCs. The game delivers 2D visuals inspired by the manga style.
