The second, rather unique, DLC for the fifth installment in The Elder Scrolls series, an RPG series by Bethesda Game Studios. The expansion entitled Hearthfire does not introduce any new storylines and hardly any quests. Instead, it focuses on an entirely new feature which is the possibility to build a house and found our own family. Thanks to it, we can build the manor of our dreams (or several) without using additional editors. It is a complicated process, though, because it requires buying a plot of land, designing the building on a drafting table, gathering materials and processing them into construction materials. Having erected a house, we can furnish it, and then, for example, cultivate the garden or breed fish, bees, or cattle. Moreover, we can even adopt children that can be played with but also have to be brought up and protected.

BRUCE: The Game is a cyberpunk/noir platform game and the debut of the Polish studio Tabasco Interactive. BRUCE: The Game rather clearly refers to the classics like Ridley Scott's cult movie Blade Runner or Frank Miller's comic book series Sin City. The game takes place in a rainy, futuristic world, where Bruce, our protagonist, does many various quests and faces enemies. We observe the action from the classic side-scrolling perspective. Bruce uses all kinds of weapons and special abilities during our adventures, including bullet time, known from the Max Payne series. Gameplay focuses on dynamic and spectacular action and, at the same time, presents a mature, entertaining story with interesting NPCs. The game has hand drawn, noir-inspired visuals.

A first-person horror adventure game that started as a research project by a group of students from University of South California. We play as a member of Neurostalgia Institute, which focuses on unveiling the secrets within the patients’ minds. Gameplay comes down to exploring, solving puzzles and discovering mysteries hidden by the inmates. An idea behind Nevermind was to help us control our own stress, with an interesting novelty being a requirement of possessing a device that monitors heartbeat. The game checks our pulse and matches the scenario to our fright level. The more we panic, the more challenging the gameplay becomes, and when we calm down – the game’s world becomes friendlier as well.
