We also meet many famous characters and get some mythical artifacts that help us fight in various ways. The first two parts in the series that comprise the God of War Collection have been refreshed by Bluepoint Games studio, now supporting 720p resolution and 60 FPS. The fourth major DLC to the strategy game Europa Universalis III developed by Paradox and published in 2007. The expansion named Divine Wind stays in the same time period as the base-version of the game and takes place between 1453-1789. The title concentrates particularly on the Far East, which influences and slightly changes the gameplay. Moreover, set on the Asian coast of Pacific, the game features dozens of new villages that you can raid. Among a whole range of improvements, there are new diplomatic options, a new set of buildings, and more. Multiplayer is also expanded – now it allows up to 32 users to play at the same time. The production features more details and updated graphics. The extension requires both, the base-version of the game and the previous DLCs.

Depth was designed with multiplayer experience in mind. In the game there are two competing teams – scuba divers, and sharks that try to hunt them down. The game is a debut by a studio originating from the modding community – Digital Confectioners. The action takes place exclusively underwater, and the two teams have completely different goals to accomplish. The task of the divers is to locate a valuable object and bring it to the surface. The other group, playing as sharks, needs to prevent the first team from doing so, which, most of the times, boils down to eating them. The gameplay is pretty realistic – the divers’ movements are limited by all the physics of submerged bodies, while the sharks make use of their animal instinct without hesitation. High quality graphics are provided by the Unreal Engine 3.

Third entry in the highly-rated Disciples series, started in 1999 by the Strategy First studio. The new game comes not only with a new publisher, but also a new producer – a rather unknown studio of .dat, previously part of Akella corporation. Once again we are taken to the universe of Nevendaar, where the forces of good and evil clash. The developers prepared three playable factions: we can play as Empire, Legions of the Damned or Elven Alliance. The gameplay itself remained the same as in previous games – we still get a turn-based strategy resembling the cult-classic Heroes of Might and Magic series. There are some RPG features implemented though, and battles have been modified (e.g. by adding the option of moving our troops). The most obvious novelty is a transition to full 3D graphics, thanks to the proprietary Virtual Dream engine.

Another installment in the iconic game series developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo. It was released in the form of twin role-playing games: Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. The story in both games is set in Kalos, a region resembling France. In the game, the players assume the roles of trainers who traverse the world in search of the monsters they can catch, train and send to fight battles in the Pokemon league. In order to succeed, the player has to obtain eight special badges by defeating the gym leaders and proving their worth to the so-called Elite Four - the best trainers in Kalos. The twin games do not bring any significant changes to the gameplay mechanics introduced by the previous installments - the gameplay consists mainly of exploration. Apart from that, the player can talk to other characters and battle opponents in turn-based duels using Pokemon that differ in skills and combat techniques. Both games are the series's first attempt at utilizing fully three-dimensional graphics.

An unusual action RPG developed by Bare Mettle Entertainment. The game puts special emphasis on freedom of exploration. The story takes the player to a dark fantasy world, where the powerful mages left in charge of the land turned against their people and caused an attack of dark forces. The player takes control of a simple peasant who has been exiled from his home village for drawing the attention of some dangerous people. Soon, it turns out that the character is in fact The Chosen One, and has to prevent the incoming disaster. Sui Generis stands out with its focus on the player's freedom to shape the story, lack of typical character classes and quests as such, which are usual features in this genre. The protagonist is thrown into the midst of dangerous events, but the player is the one to decide where and for what reason he acts. It is up to the player, with whom the protagonist cooperates and what do they become as the protagonist develops.

A free-to-play online first-person shooter developed by Splash Damage, the creators of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, ET: Quake Wars and Brink. The action is set in London, destroyed by a mysterious cataclysm, which turned into a battlefield of private military corporations. Soldiers of each faction fight for dominance and treasures hidden in the ruins of the metropolis. Following the example of classic online shooters, there are several character classes for the players to choose from, all offering different sets of weapons and skills. The key to success lies therefore in close cooperation within a team as well as the ability to use the unique features of every hero. Another important thing is planting the eponymous weapon of mass destruction. The title offers a number of game modes meant for 5 vs 5 and 8 vs 8 battles. The production’s atmosphere bears a strong resemblance to such hits as Gotham City Impostors or Team Fortress 2.
