An action adventure game developed by the Insomniac Games studio. The player sets out on an adventure in a fantasy world, and plays the role of the son of the chieftain of one of the most powerful local tribes. When the leader is assassinated, a different group takes care of the child, who then returns to his home years later to avenge his father’s death. The action begins with us choosing the sex of the main character - this decision has a lot of impact on the gameplay, as the male and female feature different, unique skills. The gameplay itself revolves around exploration of the mysterious land, completing both the main and optional quests and fighting hordes of enemies. The advanced combat system featured in Feral Rites allows for numerous punches, kicks, air attacks, special tricks and finishers. We can also transform into a beast, which significantly improves our combat abilities for a short amount of time. The production is distinguished by its high-quality visuals; when compared to other titles designed solely with the VR googles in mind, it sets itself apart even further by the perspective – as the camera is placed behind our hero’s back.

An isometric cyberpunk action game by SMAC Games. The action of Tokyo 42 is set in a futuristic version of the eponymous metropolis, where we assume the role of a killer who, while performing his lucrative contracts, uncovers a scheme that can change the fate of the world for ever. The gameplay is set in an open world, while the protagonist employs a rich arsenal of weapons and various gadgets. We can also drive vehicles. The available missions were designed in a way that gives the players freedom in choosing their methods — depending on our preferences, we can go in all guns blazing or focus on a stealthy approach. The game is enriched by the fact that the streets of the city are roamed by crowds of ordinary citizens which, depending on the case, can make our job significantly easier or harder.

A side-scrolling shooter developed by the independent Pixelnest Studio. The player sits at the helm of a spaceship, their task is to eliminate subsequent waves of incoming enemies. We encounter both ordinary, numerous opponents that aren’t too difficult to defeat as well as more rare bosses that require devising a special tactic to beat them. In Steredenn, we are not defenseless and the ship we pilot can be equipped with 35 kinds of weapons and 25 enhancements that we unlock with progress. Apart from the standard gameplay variant in which levels are procedurally generated, the game features a system of daily challenges and a special Arena mode, based on fighting 1 vs 1 duels against bosses. The title features two-dimensional pixel-art graphics that are accompanied by fast and intensive music.

The third installment in a series of mobile economic strategy games developed by Michael Sherwin - an independent developer. As usual, the player is put in the shoes of a game making studio's owner. Although the player begins with little money, their aim is to establish a successful company that employs dozens of people, including programmers working simultaneously on up to three large games in several separate buildings. The player is required to make crucial decisions, such as the game's genre, how much money should be spent on it and which employees are to be working on it. Also, the player has to advertise their products, meet deadlines, manage the staff and compete against other developers. The player goes through fifty years of video game history, but they are also taken to the nearest future. Apart from developing games, the player can also create their own gaming system, such as a home console, a hand-held console or a mobile device.

An action-adventure game created by the French studio Fresh3D. Outcast 1.1 is a refreshed version of an acclaimed game developed by Appeal and released back in 1999. The player is taken to the mysterious planet Adelpha, inhabited by the civilization of Talan. The player assumes the role of a retired soldier sent there to protect three scientists and find a probe that has turned out to be a threat to the entire Earth. Hailed as the messiah of the Talan, the protagonist has to gain reputation among them and liberate them from an evil tyrant. The game is played from a third-person view and for the most part, the player explores the world of Adelpha, talks to characters they encounter, completes both assignments related to the main story and side quests, but also solves puzzles and fights hostiles. Compared to the original release, the game offers slightly improved visuals, supports modern-day operating systems and high resolution settings, and features a remodeled user interface.

During the game, players select one of the factions; each of them has unique buildings, technologies and units among which there are a few dozen of most popular Transformers. The gameplay focuses on gathering resources, expanding the base and researching new technologies. At the same time one must create various defense structures which will repel the enemy assaults and one must recruit army which will be used to attack the enemy fortress. Transformers: Earth Wars offers expanded singleplayer campaign, but the main attraction of the game is online war outcome of which is determined by players.

The action of GunWorld 2 takes place on the eponymous planet where an intergalactic party of superheroes arrested its president for the good of the people. Assuming the role of the world’s best shooter, named Dwayne, we have to face our enemies and rescue the leader from their hands. The gameplay is focused mainly on combat; while playing, we move on platforms, gathering gold and experience in battles against various kinds of opponents. In combat, we try to avoid taking damage by hiding behind elements of our surroundings and constantly switching position. As we progress, we develop our characters and enhance their equipment for the acquired gold. The title features pixelated 2D graphics that references the classics of the genre.

Add-on for the twin edition of Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest, which requires one of those titles. It has been developed by Intelligent Games studio and lets us explore a new story line. The main character doesn’t work with Nohr or sides with Hoshido, instead working on his own to discover the truth behind the conflict of those factions. Compared to the base games, Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation doesn’t stray out too far gameplay wise, with the most notable novelty being My Castle – a special location where we can interact with our allies. As we form bonds with our friends, they are willing to offer more effective cooperation during fights. Interestingly, we can also meet other players there and fight against their armies through the Street Pass function. Add-on also offers Amiibo support, which gives us access to four characters: Robin, Ike, Lucina and Martha.

A first-person perspective action RPG developed for the virtual reality sets such as Steam VR and HTC Vive. The game was created by Indimo Labs, a studio led by Kelly Bailey, former Valve employee. The story of the game is inspired by the D&D fantasy world. During the game the player assumes the role of a knight who travels through a world filled with magic and fights encountered monsters. The gameplay mechanics of Vanishing Realms: Rite of Steel combine features of typical action RPG with traits characteristic for VR games. On one side the game features simplified controls supplemented with useful teleportation ability, on the other it offers immersion level unimaginable in traditional games. All actions – starting with picking up and using items, and ending on combat in which attacks, dodges and blocks are performed manually – require performing specific moves with one’s body. The game has attractive, slightly cartoonish graphics.

Another entry in jRPG series from Natsume Inc. The players are taken to the titular Skytree village, located in the land called Oasis of the Harvest Goddess. After the power of the Harvest Goddess began to weaken, the village faced ruin. Our task as an owner of a small farm is to restore the land to its former prosperity, so players must prepare soil for farming, plant seeds and harvest, though they can also go fishing. Unlike previous games in the series, Harvest Moon: Skytree Village allows the players to adjust the terrain to their liking. All of above is presented in three-dimensional, cartoon-like visuals.

Warbands: Bushido is a board game enabling us to assume the role of one of the daimyo ruling provinces of Japan during the Sengoku Period. The quest to gain power and influence will involve battles of large military forces, as well as espionage and convert assassinations. Aside from the major players, the land is roamed by numerous smaller parties such as samurai, ronin, ninja clans, pirates, or mercenaries. The action is seen from an isometric perspective, while the map is divided into hexagonal fields. The combat is turn-based – each side throws dice to deal damage and perform special actions. Moreover, we can utilize action cards, offering bonuses such as additional critical chance or more action points. Morale is also an important factor, increasing the effectiveness of our units.

Another DLC for the crazy action game Goat Simulator released in 2014 by Coffee Stain. The Waste of Space expansion adds a completely new map to the game. The map is larger than anything that Goat Simulator and its expansions offered up until now. The new level consists of a large space area and of an alien planet with a colony on its surface. Typically for the Goat Simulator, there is no story per se. Instead, the game focuses on a typically sandbox gameplay model which is filled with absurd jokes and opportunities for having fun and engaging in combat. Chaos and destruction can be pursued not only on the surface of the planet and in space, but on space cruisers and space stations as well. The expansion also adds various futuristic technologies and a romance system which parodies the Mass Effect series.

A science-fiction RPG belonging to the roguelike subgenre; it is the debut project of Hollow Ponds - a studio founded by the creators of Hohokum. In Loot Rascals, the player assumes the role of an astronaut whose ship crashes on an unknown, hostile planet. The game's randomly generated world is made up of hexes, most of which are hidden at the beginning. The player often encounters aggressive monsters that are fought in real time. Interestingly, defeated enemies leave cards for the player to pick up - those represent different skills. Since the player has a limited number of slots for cards in their equipment, it is important to select them carefully. When the player dies, they lose a number of their cards, but what is another interesting feature, those are picked up by the creature that defeated the player - the monster later on makes an appearance in another player's adventures. If that player manages to slay the monster, they can return the card to its previous owner or simply keep it. In case of the latter option however, the player has to remember that someone can be after them.

He starts additional job as a… member of a special forces unit. During various missions he faces hordes of enemies who are standing on his way to freeing hostages held in a grim abandoned mansion. The gameplay is focused mostly on combat, during which one can use more than 60 types of weapons. Thanks to that, the player can sow destruction, damage almost every piece of furniture or ornament on his way and take care of enemies even with his bare hands. What’s characteristic for the game, as player progresses the enemies are becoming stronger and defeating them becomes more challenging. The game contains a large dose of humor and old-fashioned, pixel graphics that reference the age of arcade cabinets.

A mobile action RPG developed by NAT Games - a Korean team led by Yong-Hyun Park, who is one of the main creators of such acclaimed titles as Lineage II or TERA. Originally, the game was released in 2015, only in Korea. A year later, Heroes of Incredible Tales was released worldwide. The player chooses one of the available warriors and sets out for a dangerous journey across this fantasy world, slaying hordes of monsters along the way. The story campaign comprises of a set of missions, during which the protagonist (male or female) explores three-dimensional levels (the player observes the action from above) and fights encountered enemies with melee weapons and magic. Combat is very dynamic and purely arcade. Fluent moves combined with performing longest attack sequences possible are the key to success. As most RPGs, Heroes of Incredible Tales offers a system of character development. This allows the player to acquire new abilities and parts of equipment in exchange for crystals obtained alongside the game's progression.

A light-hearted adventure game, inspired by Monty Python’s surreal sense if humour, and the weirdest cases from the X-Files TV series. Maize was developed by Finish Line Games – an independent studio, which debuted in 2014 with Cel Damage HD. The action of the game takes place on an abandoned American farm, which is located above an underground research facility. The player assumes the role of a corncob that gained self-conciousness and human feelings as a result of a crazy experiment. This unusual “hero” has to get to the bottom of a conspiracy and discover the reasons for his existence. When it comes to mechanics, Maize is an adventure game seen from a first-person perspective. The gameplay focuses on exploration, conversations with NPCs, and solving intricate logical puzzles. As it discovers further secrets, our corncob encounters many original characters, such as a Russian version of Teddy Ruxpin – a mechanical teddy bear. Even if the game itself is rather light-hearted, Maize employs high-quality visuals, powered by Unreal Engine 4 technology.

In the wake of this discovery, the place soon was turned into fertile ground for rivalry among numerous criminal organizations aiming to seize control of the deposits, and in the long run of the entire galaxy. The player fights large-scale battles involving two factions, where a wide variety of futuristic firearms as well as melee weapons can be used. The multiplayer mode (which is the core of the game) was designed with asymmetry in mind, for each of the two factions involved in the conflict has completely different abilities and weapons. As a result, controlling each of the teams provides vastly different experience, but it also requires the player to apply unique tactics.

Another installment in a series of mobile adventure titles developed by 3 Minute Games. The plot is centered around a man called V. Adams, who wakes up in a distant corner of the Earth one day, right in the middle of a raging snow storm. Without remembering how he got there, he realizes he has no chances of survival just on his own. However, a special text message system allowing him to contact the player becomes helpful in his attempt to make his way out of that dangerous place. The player's task is to give various advices to the protagonist, in order for him to be able to make it out alive and find a way back to civilization. Along the way, the player also helps the protagonist in discovering the truth behind his past and the events that led to this miserable situation. Similarly to the previous installments, Lifeline: Whiteout is a form of a gamebook that requires the player to respond to the messages received, choosing from several reponse options available. These affect the actions of the protagonist and further developments of the story.

Rabbids Heroes is a tactical card game, which is a humorous response of Ubisoft to titles such as Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft or The Elder Scrolls: Legends. The main characters in Rabbids Heroes are the title rabbits, which debuted on our screens in the Rayman series, and eventually have gotten their own game, and even an animated TV show. The gameplay is focused on subsequent duels of the crazy rabbits, representing different professions, such as knight, mage, ninja, scientist, or hunter. The task is to achieve the title of the master and reach the Moon, where the sympathetic animals originate from. During the duels, players can use cards chosen from their deck beforehand. The deck is completed throughout the whole game, and consists of 200 elements in total - subsequent successes obviously allow the players to develop their characters. The game is full of absurd humor. The visuals are kept in characteristic, cartoonish stylistics.

An sequel to the 2014 farm game Story of Seasons, created by Marvelous, who also developed e.g. games in the Harvest Moon series. The fundamental mechanics of the gameplay remained unchanged. In the game, you manage a declining farm, trying to restore it to its former glory. You play mostly by taking care of your animals, buying and planting seeds, gathering and selling crops, and also meeting various NPCs. At the same time, the game is more expansive than any other installment of both aforementioned series, and your farm lies close to three large locations, whose specifics and areas differ. This calls for more creativity and looking for new ways to develop your business. Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns also features previously unavailable plants and animals, as well as activities and female characters to romance.

Gameplay mechanics of Deus Ex GO are similar to the previously released Hitman GO and Lara Croft GO - it is a turn-based puzzle game. The player assumes the role of Adam Jensen, the protagonist of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. The action of the game takes place on small levels, through which the players move along a preassigned route. One can move between branching points and each action activates traps and enemies in the area. This forces the player to carefully plan his moves in order to avoid or eliminate threats. Visuals of Deus Ex GO are similar to the visuals of the aforementioned games, keeping their unique cyberpunk style.

The story is just a pretext to the actual game, though, as Islands of Nyne: Battle Royale is a multiplayer-only title with gameplay modes for up to 100 players. The players engage in PvP combat taking place on remote islands surrounded by plasma field that slowly absorbs the playing field. We can choose from numerous firearms and melee weapons, while our goal is to eliminate all other participants and finish the battle as the last man standing.

A remarkable logic game created by Gentlymad - a German developer. In Between is rather serious when it comes to atmosphere, because it focuses on death and coming to terms with the inevitability of fate. The player assumes the role of a male who is over 30 years old and is losing his fight against cancer. According to the doctors, he has no more than several weeks remaining. Facing death, the protagonist attempts to bring his life to account - as the player, one is supposed to help him in achieving this goal. In terms of the mechanics, it is a typical logic game requiring the player to make his way through a series of levels filled with traps and puzzles. Puzzle solving is based on manipulating objects in the player's environments and playing with the in-game gravity. Simultaneously, each of the levels represents a metaphorical take on the experiences and emotions that lay within the protagonist, and references various important events from his life. In Between is divided into chapters symbolizing five stages of coming to terms with death, as described by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross - an American psychiatrist.

A continuation of a platformer by Freakzone Games studio, based on the Internet game review series starring James Rolfe. Plot in Angry Video Game Nerd II: ASSimilation does not make much sense and serves only as a pretext for action. When the Earth is struck by a beam from space, it turns the world into a video game and the hero from the original title undertakes a mission of saving his friends and humanity. Visually and mechanically the game is very similar to the classic platformer hits from the NES console. Therefore, the player jumps, avoids obstacles, and fights enemies he comes across, including powerful bosses. During gameplay you collect different parts of the armor, which makes playing a bit more easy, and unlock the hero’s new abilities, like short-distance gliding. The game features a high difficulty level, a large dose of black humor, and numerous references to the classic titles.

Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon - Da Orks offers new dynamic campaign consisting of 18 missions and complements it with base game’s multiplayer through PBEM++. Players can choose from over 400 new units, equipped with 200 different kinds of weapons.

This causes the evil deity Uka Uka to break free from his confinement. Together with a mad scientist, Uka Uka is trying to conquer the planet once more by using the power of magic crystals hidden in various eras in history. Fearless Crash and his sister Coco will try to stop the evil deity. The mechanics of the game are similar to the ones used in the previous title. The player controls one of the protagonists and tries to avoid various traps, and to defeat encountered enemies and bosses. In the numerous crates the player can find various treasures and power-ups that provide protection and other bonuses.

Developed by Vicarious Visions studio from the USA, a remake of the first installment of the Crash Bandicoot franchise. Compared to the original production, this title features brand new graphics along with a fresh soundtrack. Even though there are a few minor improvements in mechanics, the backbone of the game stays the same. Once again, you play as a bandicoot named Crash, whose objective is to stop doctor Neo Cortex from raising an army of obedient, humanoid animals. A spin-off of the Trials series, an arcade motorcycle racing game. Trials of the Blood Dragon is set in the pulp cyberpunk universe known from the standalone expansion for Far Cry 3. The plot takes place in the near future, and you play as a pair of twins, Slayter and Roxanne Colt, the descendants of the protagonist of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. The game's mechanics copy those of the previous installments'—you ride a motorcycle and participate in races on platform levels full of obstacles. In addition, you can also ride a BMX bicycle or a freight car, or even try to beat a level on foot. Some levels also call for using a grappling hook and firearms. During the story campaign, the Colt twins visit many wacky locations, and the gameplay is complemented by a soundtrack created by PowerGlove. Like Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Trials of the Blood Dragon features kitschy visuals, inspired by action movies of the 1980s.

Tree of Life is a survival MMO developed by the Korean studio OddOneGames. Despite being set in a fantasy world, the game in topic has the same simple rules as others of the genre. Players are taken to a vast, open world where they have only one goal - survival. To do so, they hunt and gather resources in order to build bases and fortresses that make it easier to defend themselves against other players and AI-controlled monsters. Each available hero has their own unique combination of abilities, but the game lacks any sort of class division among characters, the players simply create their own professions. The developers decided not to include any typical dungeons, raids, or quests known from other MMO games in Tree of Life. Instead, the interactions between the players were their main focus. Players can create guilds, trade, or attack each other.

Contrary to most enemies, their defeat takes more planning and finding their weak spots.

Brutal is a roguelike dungeon crawler/action game developed by Stormcloud Games. It stands out with peculiar graphics, based on ASCII code. The main task in the game is reaching the 26th level of a randomly generated dungeons, where a duel with the final boss, known as Guardian of the Dungeon, awaits. In order to accomplish that, you have to choose one of the available characters (Ranger, Mage, Warrior and Amazon), and roam subsequent dungeons, facing enemies such as orks, werewolves, or stone monsters. During the game, the player has to create new weapons and enchant them to achieve satisfactory results in battle. Apart from that, players can use all sorts of different potions, but their impact is not entirely known – consuming them can cause both positive and negative effects. The game can be played both in single-player as well as in co-op, and a dungeon editor compliments the whole.

Moreover, the civilization that was rebuilt by the survivors is threatened by a hostile nation called the Insidia Empire. After the protagonist’s village falls victim to the Empire’s attack, his task becomes to avenge his slain relatives and find a way to stop the enemy’s triumphant march. The gameplay mechanics are a combination of a classic jRPG with economic strategy game elements. Most of the time is therefore spent on exploration, undertaking quests, developing characters, and fighting real-time battles against numerous enemies. At the same time, we also have to take proper care of our village by erecting new buildings and gathering resources crucial to its development.

A mobile RPG based on the world and characters featured in Rick and Morty, an animated series broadcasted on Adult Swim (American cable network). Similarly to the original, Pocket Mortys tells the story of a mad alcoholic scientist, Rick Sanchez, and his naive 14-year-old grandson, Mortimer Smith. The plot revolves around Rick's failed experiment that brought creatures from another dimension to Earth, and our task is, obviously, to stop them. The gameplay is a kind of pastiche of the Pokémon series mechanics. The action is observed from an aerial perspective and the game's focuses lie on exploration, undertaking quests, and fighting turn-based battles against various creatures that we add to our collection throughout the entire playthrough. Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, the creators of Rick and Morty, were involved in the development of the game, thanks to which the unique atmosphere of the original TV series was preserved.

Among the vehicles present, the player will find buggies, monster trucks, both 2WD and 4WD cars. The game provides support of unique controls, making up for the production's average visuals - while both standard gamepads and keyboards are supported, the game can be also played using real RC controllers connected through a USB adapter. The game can be enjoyed either solo or with others in the multiplayer mode, based on competitive racing (10 players at maximum). Apart from that, the players can freely use the tracks provided by the creators; they can also create their own tracks/maps. The in-game editor includes over 150 objects that can be easily placed on a map. Player-made maps can be shared with others thanks to Steam Workshop support.

The story encompasses five years of the virtual characters' lives and is non linear, encouraging the player to complete the game many times and experiment with different dialogue options. Emily is Away also draws from historical software layouts with its modest visual style and the lack of any soundtrack.

The career of the champion himself is in foreground here, but thanks to licenses the game uses, all the authentic teams, motorcycles, racers, sponsors and tracks of the 2016 season are included in the game as well. The riding physics are even more realistic than usual, and a great variety comes with the opportunity to participate in rally events, an activity for which Rossi himself developed a strong passion.

One of the distinguishing features of Fishing Planet is the advanced artificial intelligence of 40 available fish species, closely correlated to the current conditions. An undeniable advantage of the game is the high quality of its visuals, offering realistically modeled water surface, year and day cycle, as well as dynamically changing weather.

There are over 500 clubs with over 10 thousand footballers, except that their surnames are slightly altered due to the lack of the official FIFA license. Apart from classic single-player quick matches and leagues, the developers put great emphasis on multiplayer and social aspect. Visually, the game cannot compete with the latest football productions but it features the characteristic style and atmosphere of the classic installments of the Sensible Soccer series.

While driving, we gather points and coins scattered around the map which are then spent on new cars and parts that provide certain bonuses once installed.

An unusual combination of fantasy adventure and stealth games, developed by Frozenbyte, the creators of such series as Trine and Shadowgrounds. In the title, we assume the role of a seasoned killer, Shadwen, who is given the task of murdering a king. However, during the mission, the protagonist encounters an orphan named Lily, which significantly influences the gameplay mechanics—we have to decide whether or not to expose the child to the sight of blood or use alternative ways of eliminating enemies. The killer we control possesses considerable skills in terms of acrobatics, remaining hidden, and surprise attacks, although a direct confrontation usually gets her killed. The characteristic feature of Shadwen is the fact that time flows only when the protagonist moves. It allows us to plan our next move calmly and precisely as well as to prepare intricate traps with the use of a number of interactive objects.
