An unusual simulation game developed by one of the former developers of the F1 series. Jalopy takes us to Eastern Europe of the late 80s and early 90s, just after the fall of communism. In the game, we sit behind the wheel of a fictional car called Laika 601 Deluxe, which was modeled after the famous DDR’s Trabant. The player’s task is to use the economical inequalities in various European countries in order to earn money quickly. It includes trading with various goods by buying them for next to nothing and selling them in places where people are ready to purchase them for large sums of money. Transporting some items abroad, we have to take border controls into account, which often forces us to smuggle. Apart from the economic aspect, Jalopy offers an extensive simulation mechanics that involve maintaining our car (refueling, repairing, and not overloading it) but also the driver, who has to eat, drink, and sleep, among other things. The title features simple vector graphics and brownish colors that emphasize the grim atmosphere of the period.

A mobile strategy game featuring a turn-based combat system. It was developed by the Risky Lab studio. The action is set in the near future when humans agreed on wars being a method of solving disputes that is simply too expensive. As a result, all military conflicts were transferred into virtual reality in order for special war simulators to replace actual warfare. The game is based on mechanics of classic turn-based strategies, featuring a simple combat system which nonetheless, offers a large number of applicable tactics. The game features a relatively small number of units balanced following the rock-paper-scissors pattern. However, each of them is very different from the rest and irreplaceable in combat. Warbits offers both a single-player campaign and multiplayer competition online or in the so-called hot seat mode. The game stands out with simplistic, but also incredibly colorful cartoonish visuals.

A turn-based RPG published by Bandai Namco and based on a highly popular manga series. In terms of the plot, the game follows the manga, so being familiar with that comic book is not required to understand the scenario of the game. The story revolves around Luffy - a boy who wishes to become a pirate king and find the legendary treasure. After he accidentally acquires the power to stretch his body like rubber, which helps the protagonist achieve his dreams. The experience focuses on battling enemies, and Luffy can be accompanied by up to five team-members. The game gives you complete freedom and rewards you for exploring, making quick decisions and experimenting with different methods of solving a problem. A puzzle adventure game released on mobile devices, based on the license of a popular animated series aired on Fox. The game's story focuses on the rivalry between the Planet Express courier company with its longtime competitor, MomCorp, leading to Fry and his companions being forced to embark on a journey through different regions of the universe. Futurama: Game of Drones employs slightly modified mechanics of the popular casual match-3 (or, in this case, match-4) genre, and the player's task is to combine four drones working for the Planet Express in order to put the competing courier company in line. Although we are dealing here with a typical logic game, the developers of the title took care to include a well-developed narrative layer, created in cooperation with, among others, the screenwriter and producer of the original series, Patric Verrone, and Dave Grossman, the co-creator of the Monkey Island series and the iconic adventure game Day of the Tentacle.

An old-school shoot 'em up game created by Art In Games. The game provides a continuation to the 2010 game AirAttack. AirAttack 2 does not feature any specific story as such, and the player assumes the role of a pilot who fights against the air forces of the Axis. The game is set in an exaggerated alternative vision of the Second World War, albeit some machines using technology that didn't exist back then were included nonetheless, as the creators were not particularly interested in recreating the realities of war with historical accuracy. The in-game mechanics were based on the classic, popular formula - the action is viewed from above and the player's task is to shoot the enemies coming in waves. What's more, the player will also encounter boss fights, collect valuable power-ups and avoid enemy attacks. The game offers five different fighter planes, which can be additionally upgraded as the game progresses. Different improvements can be employed, such as installation of lasers, flamethrowers, tail cannons, homing missiles or bomb bays.

Facing this threat, Gabe abandons his peaceful existence and reaches for a baseball bat in order to save his former colleagues and the innocent citizens alike. In each level, the player's goal is to eliminate enemies by hitting them with balls. A mobile logic game featuring roguelike elements. It was developed by the Nitrome studio. The game belongs to the comedy fantasy subgenre and the player assumes the role of a possessed helmet worn by an unknown warrior who is trying to make his way through the subsequent floors of a dungeon. The place is filled with traps, monsters and treasures. The levels are generated procedurally and the gameplay itself is turn-based. In order to complete a level, the player has to reach the stairway leading to the next map. On their way, the player smashes vases containing valuables, turns different switches, collects keys, saves innocents and fights enemies. Interestingly, the opponents move only when the player does and combat itself is based on very simplistic mechanics. In order to defeat the enemy, the player only has to bump into them. However, if an enemy bumps into the player, the situation is reversed. Apart from encountering enemies directly, the player is capable of luring them into the traps distributed throughout the dungeon.

The objective can be completed in various ways, by using a wide variety of weapons and useful gadgets. Security systems and the necessity to take care of various needs of the character make the task harder. While trying to eliminate their own target, the players cannot forget that they themselves may be a someone else's target. Because of that, one must perform actions that will mislead the opponent – change clothes or hairstyle. However, it is not enough to shoot at everything that moves - the player has to understand the relations between the positions of the guards in order to make a progress. Thus the levels resemble puzzle solving in that aspect. The gameplay is diversified with hand-to-hand combat sequences and dynamic shoot-outs. The game offers simple visuals resembling a comic strip.

A first-person shooter created by Richard Seabrooke, set in the world of Half-Life. Prospekt started as a fan-made modification that eventually, thanks to the help from Valve and the players' great interest in the game, became an independent commercial product . The story runs parallel to the events of Half-Life 2. When Gordon Freeman is in a need of assistance, his Vortigaunt allies decide to bring in a commando by the name of Adrian Shephard, a character known from Half-Life: Opposing Force. When it comes to gameplay mechanics, the game offers an experience similar to what Valve's other games accustomed the players to. During the gameplay, the player explores linear levels and fights encountered enemies. The game also features occasional puzzles. In contrast to the game's early, fan-made mod, form, it received an upgraded interface and lighting system, improved graphic elements, and a better enemy AI.

Action, 2.5D, Metroidvania, Under Water, Singleplayer.
An arcade, metroidvania genre action game developed by Insomniac Games studio, known for, among others, Sunset Overdrive, and series such as Spyro, or Rachet & Clank. In Song of the Deep, we assume the role of Merryn, whose father has disappeared during a fishing trip. When one day she has a dream that her father has been imprisoned in the sea depths, the little heroine decides to build a small submarine and embark on a rescue mission. In terms of mechanics, we are dealing with a classic representative of the genre, in which we traverse a semi-open world divided into various, distinctive locations. The creators have put various challenges in our way, including things like clearing our path and, of course, fighting enemies and challenging bosses. Our submarine can be improved in the course of the game, receiving various abilities that help during combat and allowing us to access previously unavailable locations. The game features attractive 2.5D graphics.

A full-fledged continuation of a science-fiction turn-based strategy developed by Mode 7 Games. In its premise, Frozen Synapse 2 doesn’t differ much from what its predecessor offered, and focuses on combat using small units, emphasizing strategic planning. The main distinguishing element of the game (and the whole series) is the fact that the encounters are turn-based, but the players make their moves simultaneously, rather than alternately. This forces a completely different approach from the players, and keeps them on their toes when anticipating the next move of their enemy. In contrast to its predecessor, Frozen Synapse 2 has a much more open world, directly resulting in bigger maps, which has an utmost impact on the strategic layer of the game. The whole game is seen from a good old top-down view, and introduces a similar stern visual style, with a rather cold color palette.

Action, Dragon Ball, Puzzle Elements, RPG Elements, Internet, Multiplayer, Board & Card, Singleplayer, Free-to-play.
A mix of puzzle, action and board game genres from Bird Studio. The title is based on a classic anime, based on the manga created by Akira Toriyama. Players must create an undefeated team of heroes that will win against all adversaries. Gameplay is based on two pillars, the first being unique battles that focus on combining groups of colorful Ki balls. This results in a certain amount of damage being dealt to the opponent, depending on type of combination, and effects can take the form of eye-catching animations, resembling the animated series. We can also charge powerful, game-changing special attacks. The second part of the game takes place on a two-dimensional board – we move our character to collect useful items and money. Additionally, there is a simple system of character development. Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle lets us play solo or with friends. The title is distributed in free-to-play model with micropayments – real money can be used to buy new character cards to our collection.

Action, 2D, Indie Games, Internet, 80s, Multiplayer, Splitscreen, Singleplayer, Shooters, Top-down, Cold War.
A humorous top-down shooter created by the independent developer team at Team2Bit. The action takes place in 1986 when a mysterious organization kidnaps the leaders of the world's two main superpowers: Reagan and Gorbachev. With both the world peace and themselves being at risk, the two presidents have to put aside their differences and join forces, for only cooperation will allow them to escape and prevent a nuclear apocalypse. The gameplay mechanics are inspired by classic top-down shooters. The players’(playing either solo or in cooperation mode) task is to break through maps that are full of foes. Since the protagonists are not bulletproof, the key to success is to devise and apply an adequate strategy instead of mindlessly emptying the clips of their weapons. Reagan Gorbachev is supplemented with stealth sequences, and each level is designed in a way that allows the player(s) to complete it both the old-fashioned way and stealthily.
