A turn-based strategy game for mobile devices, set in the American Old West. It was developed by the Mika Mobile studio and takes the player to a land combining the Wild West with occultist ideas. Such a combination gave plenty of room to the creators, when it came to writing the scenarios and inventing the virtual weapons. The game focuses mainly on turn-based battles during which, the player can command over twenty different types of units. Contrary to the majority of similar games however, units do not last longer than through one battle here - the game places a special emphasis on winning at all costs. Later on, the player replenishes the casualties. Only the so-called Living Legends are an exception here, for the player can gradually upgrade their statistics alongside progression. Making good use of their skills, the player is capable of tipping the balance in favour of their victory more than once.

A Japanese roguelike role-playing game and a part of the Mystery Dungeon series. Shiren The Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate was originally released in 2010 for Nintendo DS only in Japan, while its enhanced edition, Shiren the Wanderer 5 Plus was released in 2015. You play as a quiet wandering warrior named Shiren, accompanied by a talkative ferret called Koppa. The protagonist climb the enormous Tower of Fortune, at the top of which lives a deity capable of changing the fate of every mortal. The locations are randomly generated, and the turn-based gameplay focuses on combat and upgrading Shiren's statistics. Death in the game is final; when you die, your experience is brought down to zero, your equipment is lost, and new maps with new enemies are generated. Additionally, the game features occasional puzzles to solve and a day-and-night cycle, which makes your sight range smaller as darkness falls.

Britney Spears: American Dream is a mobile game based on free-to-play model with optional microtransactions. The player assumes the role of a young person – a man or a woman – who dreams of a career of a pop music idol. The titular singer helps the protagonist in getting to the top. Britney Spears: American Dream features a story campaign for one player during which one speaks to NPCs, participates in social meetings and reacts to unforeseen circumstances. The character created by the player must also make sure it has proper image – select fashion clothes, accessories, instruments etc. In order to gain money to buy these items, one must record songs, music videos and promote them so that they get to the toplists. Similarly as other games developed by Glu Mobile, Britney Spears: American Dream features two-dimensional graphics featuring comic book-like visual style.

An arcade soccer game inspired by the classic Sensible Soccer series. The game was developed by an Italian studio The Fox Software, which specializes in this genre - it is popular mainly for such games as Ico Soccer for Nintendo DS or Throw In for PCs; the latter being a remake of the classic title Kick Off 2. The game focuses on delivering an arcade experience and is played from a classic aerial view. The player does not have to get accustomed to using many buttons. The game offers over 800 national and league teams from all over the world, giving an opportunity to play different kinds of matches. Unfortunately, Active Soccer 2 does not use official licenses, but the creators included a simple team editor, so the player does not have to use the default club and footballer names. One can play friendly matches, as well as both league and cup games, apart from taking part in the career mode, which is complemented by a simplistic management module, requiring the player to develop adequate tactics, supervise transfers and take care of funding-related issues. Active Soccer 2 also offers a cross-platform online mode.

An action-puzzle game inspired by the annual “Earth Hour” event organized by WWF foundation. The game was developed by the Russian studio Brainy. It shows how much the modern world depends on electricity. When an accident in the power plant causes the whole city to run out of electricity, the player assumes the role of the last “living” spark and is tasked with restoring the power and allowing the inhabitants of the city to function normally. The gameplay mechanics in TurnOn are similar as in typical platformer games. The difference lies in the fact that instead between the platforms, the player must jump between electric wires. By jumping from one wire to another, the player tries to restore the power to houses, shops, and various electric devices. The devices are connected to each other with a tightly tangled network of connections. Because of that, in addition to having high agility, the game also forces the player to think. The game contains bonus levels as well. During them the player must move through the electric wires according to the tune of the background music.

A science-fiction roguelike shooter employing isometric view and created by Monothetic - a studio established by active members of Half-Life 2 modding community. The player assumes the role of Freja - a hired female pilot whose ship crashes on the surface of an unknown planet. Although the protagonist dies, she gets revived by a cloning station which survived the crash. In order to escape the planet, Freja has to make her way through hordes of hostile alien life forms and find materials required to communicate with those capable of rescuing her. The player explores procedurally generated environments and shoots enemies. In-game death is permanent and forces the player to start over from the very beginning. What makes the job easier however, is the fact that the protagonist is able to gather DNA from her victims. Different DNA combinations can be created before the next attempt - those give access to useful mutations.

In Letter Quest: Grimm’s Journey, we assume the role of two grim reapers called Grimm and Rose who have to face hordes of ghosts, monsters, and other evil spawn using only the power of… words. While playing, we traverse five varied lands and fight turn-based battles with enemies, which allows us to enhance our character and weapons as we progress in the game. Combat itself is quite unusual, since subsequent clashes involve forming words from a grand dictionary that consists of roughly 190 thousand English words. Damage dealt to an enemy depends on the amount of points scored for a given word. The effect can be further modified with the use of magical potions and items that we can buy for jewels obtained in the course of the game.

The action of A Blind Legend is set in a medieval fantasy setting. In the game, we assume the role of a blind knight, Edward Blake, who sets out to rescue his wife alongside his daughter, Louise. The title is devoid of any graphics whatsoever. While playing, we traverse subsequent locations, talk to encountered characters, and even fight only on the basis of our surroundings’ sounds and our daughter voice, which points us the way and gives necessary hints. The protagonist is controlled by gestures drawn on a touchscreen or with a mouse.

The story takes place in a future where androids became a normal part of human life. Lucy: The Eternity She Wished For tells a story of a young boy who finds Lucy, an android that is different than all other machines, on a garbage dumb. Lucy, in contrast to other androids, has feelings and acts like a human. Similarly as in other visual novels, the gameplay mostly consists of discovering the story created by developers and of making decisions during specific points of the game. These decisions impact the direction of the plot of the game. The title employs manga-style visuals that consist mostly of static images with text lines that reveal the story.

With the advent of the undead, the fourth powerful race, the divided parties need to join their forces and together face the new, dreadful enemy. Mechanics combine aspects of classic RTS games with a number of modern solutions, like card games, survival elements, and an extensive crafting system. Gameplay consists of economic and military levels – achieve strategic excellence and fortify and siege strongholds. The game concentrates on the single player campaign, yet still follows in its predecessors’ footsteps, introducing a wide range of multiplayer modes as well.

Your chosen biography and in-game decisions shape the story, as does your supporting partner, the choice of which can be difficult, as the five available companions have their own unique personalities and abilities. The main designer of the game is Dave Gilbert, known from the Blackwell series, and the story was written by Jennifer Helper, the writer of e.g. the first two installments of the Dragon Age series.

A card game with turn-based strategy elements that uses free-to-play distribution model with microtransactions. Faeria invites the players into an old fantasy world, home to humans as well as other intelligent species. The game puts emphasis on the lore and contains much additional information about the fictional universe. As for the gameplay, Faeria represents an unorthodox approach to the card game genre. Duels between two players are the foundation of the game. The fights are waged by using cards drawn from users’ personal decks. The warriors must also gather resources and use them in the duels. The cards represent heroes, effects and spells, but they cannot be played freely. Instead they have to be used on special, hexagon fields. Empty at first, the map becomes filled with hexes due to the player’s actions, and various terrain types affect the behavior of units and spells. Another innovation in the game is the necessity for characters to find themselves on adjacent fields in order to start the battle. It is worth adding that Faeria also allows the owners of various gaming platforms to face each other.

An old-school RPG with plot that was inspired by the Akira Kurosawa's classic movie Seven Samurai and its American remake, The Magnificent Seven. The action is set in a fantasy world on the island of Roven, where the inhabitants have been terrorized by ruthless bandits for a long time — they steal, burn down houses, and even commit murder. The desperate islanders hire a group of seven coldblooded mages to deal with the villains. The gameplay mechanics of 7 Mages are inspired by classical dungeon crawlers. In the game, we control a 7-member party of heroes with varied magical abilities. The on-screen events are viewed from the first-person perspective. Occasionally, we will also have to solve logic puzzles. The above is complemented by an old-school tile-by-tile movement with the ability to turn by 90 degrees only and a tactically rich turn-based combat system.

Gameplay focuses on exploration and fights with various monsters, offering arcade, but relatively slow-paced battles. Players are given classic character progression system and a wide array of equipment, including many types of weapons and spells. The game presents a quite high difficulty level, with the proper choice of equipment and tactics playing crucial role, along with dodging and blocking, which are often more important than reckless offensive actions.

Airport Firefighters: The Simulation is the third game in the Airport Firefighters series developed by the German studio Visual Imagination Software GbR. We play as a member of the elite firefighting unit that fights with fires on an airport. We observe the game from the first-person perspective. As we play, we control one character who has to get to the fire location by, for example, driving a fire truck. Then, we get the necessary tools and do our job. We will have to not only extinguish fires, but also move around burning buildings, watch out for many obstacles, move objects, or force our way through ventilation systems. In case of emergency, we can use an axe to clear our path. We fight fire with a fire extinguisher and a sprayer. We will have to take down fires in different parts of the airport, like the passenger terminal, inside of a plane, or the office. The game offers many different fire trucks.

The game is set in the far future, where humanity is becoming an extinct species and the Earth is ruled by the Clusters - a faction using machines gifted with digitalized, human consciousness to achieve their goals. The player takes on the role of the chosen one, who is capable of putting an end to the machines' rule and reinvigorating the human species. The game is a top-down shooter focusing on dynamic action. The player chooses from among three available characters - each has different skills and equipment, and explores the levels, eliminating armies of various enemies, differing also in their size. Livelock offers the best possible experience when played in the 3-player cooperation mode.

The game also features an RPG-like character development system and numerous pieces of equipment to collect. The production is designed both for solitary players and those preferring multiplayer.

This draws the attention of the guards and other criminal groups, like the Cannibal Clan. Gameplay is based on turn-based combat. The key to success lies in taking advantage of the game's environment and the individual skills of our party members. Almost all of our combat actions are controlled by a deck of cards we collect during our adventures. The effects of our actions can be empowered by throwing dice. We can improve those dice through an advanced crafting system. Children of Zodiarcs allows us to develop our characters in many various ways.

In the latter, a maximum of four players can take part simultaneously. The game features old-school visuals that deliberately expose pixels, as the very title of the game announces.

In Song of the Deep, we assume the role of Merryn, whose father has disappeared during a fishing trip. When one day she has a dream that her father has been imprisoned in the sea depths, the little heroine decides to build a small submarine and embark on a rescue mission. In terms of mechanics, we are dealing with a classic representative of the genre, in which we traverse a semi-open world divided into various, distinctive locations. The creators have put various challenges in our way, including things like clearing our path and, of course, fighting enemies and challenging bosses. Our submarine can be improved in the course of the game, receiving various abilities that help during combat and allowing us to access previously unavailable locations. The game features attractive 2.5D graphics.

However, this game introduces a series of changes required for it to fit into the specifics of regular gaming systems. The individual routes in the game are not infinite or even randomly generated, each has its starting and ending points. The game offers two different types of routes that can be traveled sprinting on foot or sitting on a motorbike. Each of the routes available is filled with different traps and threats that have to be avoided by performing risky stunts. When running, the player also collects different bonuses and fights enemies in occasional combat sequences.

An arcade top-down racing game. Eat My Dust! was developed by Immobile Games studio (Hopping Penguin and Master Archer 3D) for mobile platforms. The title is a typical example of the genre, featuring a light tone and vector graphics. The players can use several vehicles that are unlocked as they progress in the game. The tracks on which the races take place all feature desert scenery. Despite the fact of being short, they are filled with various ramps, traps, and destructible objects that make the races more interesting. The developers made sure that their game has simple, intuitive controls – the game uses automatic acceleration and auto-regenerating boost. The player must focus only on controlling the vehicle. Eat My Dust! offers both single- and multiplayer. The first mode offers many races against AI as part of the campaign, and time trials. As for the multiplayer mode, up to four players can play simultaneously.

Developed by Freebird Games, an adventure game being a continuation of the studio’s previous productions – To the Moon and A Bird Story. Finding Paradise narrates a completely new story, although the knowledge of the aforementioned titles makes playing more enjoyable. Once again, there are two doctors who travel into a patient’s mind using futuristic technology, in order to discover his biggest wish and fulfill it before he passes away. The gameplay mechanics stayed almost completely untouched – primarily, you explore the world, chat with NPCs, and look for orbs that symbolize the memories of the dying patient. Gameplay is complemented with occasional puzzles and mini games, but the title still puts emphasis on the story. The visuals feature an old school style inspired by 16- and 32-bit Japanese RPGs.

A top-down roguelike twin-stick shooter, created by independent developer Flying Oak Games. NeuroVoider lets you play as one of the four people who survived the annihilation of mankind at the hands of an army of robots. Gameplay is about making your way through 2D game levels and shooting all enemies on sight. You fight against numerous robotic soldiers – who, incidentally, are procedurally generated – but from time to time you also stand against powerful bosses. The classic shooter gameplay is further enriched by RPG elements – you can use the parts of destroyed robots to craft useful upgrades and use them to improve your character between the levels. A stand-alone expansion to 2011’s turn-based strategy game from The Lordz Games Studio. As the title suggests, Panzer Corps: Soviet Corps revolves around military operations conducted by Soviet armored units on the Eastern Front. We take part in the decisive battles of Operation Barbarossa, taking place at the Bialystok-Minsk line and Moscow as well as during the counter-offensive at Stalingrad; we visit Finland, Crimean Peninsula, Romania, and Hungary. The campaign takes place spanning from Murmansk to Crimea, and from Khalkh River to shores of Elba. Gameplay remained mostly the same compared to the basic game, though there are some noteworthy novelties. Those include over 60 airborne and land units, including rare sights like PT-34 tank, GAZ-67B off-road vehicle, Gribovsky G-11 transport glider, or IS-3 heavy tank.

An action adventure game from Might and Delight studio, set in world created for the sandbox simulator, Shelter 2. It is a story of a young lynx and his bear companion, who venture through the vast and dangerous world searching for home. As far as game mechanics go, Paws: A Shelter 2 Game combines the unique features of the Shelter simulation series with adventure and platformer elements. Instead of sandbox freedom, the game offers a linear plotline and allows us to control two independent characters, who can cooperate to solve puzzles and avoid various traps. The game employs the same visual style as the original Shelter 2, although we observe game’s world from third-person perspective, and many features not present in the original title, like the ability to follow a trail using senses other than sight.

The story takes place in the future, in the age of uninhibited deep space exploration. The discovery of a working artifact of an alien civilization resulted in a bloody conflict between two leading corporations. The players take on the roles of the last surviving members of the two organizations, whose primary objective is further survival and finding a way to get home. The game features a wide open world and focuses on three main aspects: exploration, survival, and rivalry. The gameplay consists of such elements as e.g. solving puzzles, gathering valuable resources, and direct encounters with the opponents. Detached utilizes the advanced Unreal Engine 4, which provides high-quality visuals.

A full-fledged continuation of a science-fiction turn-based strategy developed by Mode 7 Games. In its premise, Frozen Synapse 2 doesn’t differ much from what its predecessor offered, and focuses on combat using small units, emphasizing strategic planning. The main distinguishing element of the game (and the whole series) is the fact that the encounters are turn-based, but the players make their moves simultaneously, rather than alternately. This forces a completely different approach from the players, and keeps them on their toes when anticipating the next move of their enemy. In contrast to its predecessor, Frozen Synapse 2 has a much more open world, directly resulting in bigger maps, which has an utmost impact on the strategic layer of the game. The whole game is seen from a good old top-down view, and introduces a similar stern visual style, with a rather cold color palette.

An old-school logic game featuring elements of adventure and platformer games. This is the debut of the Triple Eh? studio led by Gareth Noyce. Lumo pays tribute to various games from the 80s and 90s. The gameplay consists of exploring over 400 different chambers, where the player mainly solves puzzles, avoids traps and discovers secrets. The game is played from the classic isometric view, and the player observes only a section of the location they are visiting at a given time - it can be a platform, a room or a corridor suspended in mid-air. It is relatively difficult to make progress in the game. Despite the fact that Lumo makes numerous references to the classics of the genre, it offers modern-day visuals with impressive lighting effects and high-definition textures.

In the online multiplayer mode, you need to eliminate other players in one of the four sub-modes: Assassination, Head Hunter, Random Assassination, and Escape. During your turn, you can commit five various actions; you have two minutes for that, which calls for quick and creative thinking. To succeed, you need luck and a sense of strategy, which can help you outsmart your opponents. The Living Dungeon features very high-quality visuals — the game faithfully recreates figurines, moving around a fully-3D map. Curiously, there are two graphic styles to choose from: a dark fantasy one and a less grim one, resembling a tavern game.

Other elements typical for RTS games that Battlzone 98 Redux features are collecting resources, developing your base, and producing units. The mechanics of MOP: Operation Cleanup bear a resemblance to classic platform games. During the game you move toward the right side of the screen, jump on platforms, avoid traps, and find various collectibles. There is also a wide range of enemies that you can evade or eliminate. The game is divided into five diversified levels depicting different parts of the world, each featuring side objectives to complete.

Card Crawl is a mobile fantasy card game developed by Arnold Rauers from the German studio Tinytouchables. The game takes us to a fantasy land where we take part in a card game against a mighty Minotaur who is our croupier, shuffling and dealing our cards. Card Crawl is a single player-only game. While we play, we see two rows of four cards. We will find our character, two item slots (weapon, shield, healing potion, etc.), and an additional slot for a card which we would like to use later in the lower card row. The upper row is made of Minotaur's cards: monsters we have to fight with, items, and spells. Our goal is to scrape through all 52 of Minotaur's cards without losing all of our health points. If we win, we get gold which then we can spend on new cards between the matches.
