Sports, Manager, Football Manager, Football, Singleplayer.
Another mobile edition of one of the most popular football management simulators series developed by Sports Interactive. Compared to the full-fledged installments in the franchise, Football Manager Mobile 2016 offers somewhat simplified gameplay, although it has many more features than Football Manager Touch 2016, also for mobile devices, which was released simultaneously. The trade-off is that the database is limited to the 14 most important world leagues. The gameplay itself does not deviate from the standard solutions of the series – in the game, we have to select a proper squad for each match, decide on player transfers, set training plans, as well as take care of the club’s budget and our employees’ and supporters’ satisfaction. Compared to its predecessors, the production was enriched with a number of novelties and enhancements, particularly an improved interface, new tactical instructions, and an extensive training module.

A sports game described as a spiritual successor to Sensible Soccer. It was developed by Tower Studios, led by Jon Hare, former creative director of the aforementioned series and the co-founder of the once famous Sensible Software. The gameplay of Sociable Soccer is focused on fast and purely arcade football matches in which the player’s skill is the most important factor, although it is possible to switch footballers, set formation, tactics, and so on. There are over 500 clubs with over 10 thousand footballers, except that their surnames are slightly altered due to the lack of the official FIFA license. Apart from classic single-player quick matches and leagues, the developers put great emphasis on multiplayer and social aspect. Visually, the game cannot compete with the latest football productions but it features the characteristic style and atmosphere of the classic installments of the Sensible Soccer series.

A mobile economic strategy game, created by TinyCo studio, in which we manage a school for superheroes from the Marvel universe. Our task in Marvel Avengers Academy is to educate a new generation of heroes, so even though we meet well-known characters like Loki, Hulk, Black Widow, Iron Man or Captain America, they all are much younger, less experienced, and burdened with all the typical problem of a teenager. We have to manage the eponymous school, create timetables, and organize various activities and events for our pupils. Breaks between classes can be filled by sending our superheroes on missions to test their progress. Another important thing is taking care of the emotional development of characters, who are looking for love, form groups of friends, and face the problems of puberty.

A remastered version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, a game initially released in 2006 on GameCube and Wii consoles. The new version was developed by Australian studio Tantalus, which specializes in converting popular titles to various gaming platforms. Similarly as in most other installments in the series, the main character is a young man named Link, who begins a new journey, this time to help the children kidnapped from his village by monsters. When the protagonist reaches the Twilight Realm and is transformed into a wolf, he meets a mysterious creature called Midna, who promises to take him to princess Zelda's castle and help him in reclaiming his former shape. HD version isn’t very different from the original game, which was a combination of RPG and a third person perspective action-adventure game in which player was mostly exploring and fighting. In addition to noticeably improved graphics, the gameplay was slightly changed and improved.

Adventure, FPP, Horror, Action Adventure, Singleplayer.
A sequel to the very well-received indie FPP horror adventure game. In Sylvio 2, you once again play as Juliette Waters, whose job is recording the voices of the dead. The game is set several days after the events of the first installment and takes place during the day. The gameplay focuses on exploring and solving puzzles, as well as occasional fights with the ghosts. The protagonist's equipment is similar to that from the previous game, although she also has a few new gadgets. Instead of the old Stelotron L-500 magnetic tape recorder, Sylvio 2 features a Stelotron L-1000, a 360-degree camera, which allows you to record not only the audio, but also the video of the ghosts. Since the recordings are essential to solving the game's puzzles, there is an option to browse through the recordings, slow them down or fast-forward them, as well as zoom in the video and scan it for ghost activity.

A 2D action adventure game that combines Scandinavian mythology with modern pop culture elements. It was developed by Castle, a Russian-American studio. The protagonist is a red-bearded Viking called Sigurd, whose biggest dream is to enter Valhalla. The story of Die With Glory is non-linear to a large extent, which means the way the hero achieves his goal is largely dependent on the player’s decisions. Gameplay-wise, the title combines platforming elements with adventure and strategy. Our primary tasks include exploration, overcoming various obstacles and traps, gathering items, and fighting numerous enemies, including gigantic bosses. Furthermore, the game does not lack logic puzzles and strategy sequences, where we command entire armies or flying ships.

A standalone expansion to the third installment in the Democracy series, which debuted in 2013 through the efforts of Positech Games, the studio that developed previous entries in the franchise. Unlike the main games, Democracy 3: Africa takes us to Africa, where we take the role of a leader of one of ten countries, facing completely new challenges due to different nature of living in that region. A turn-based gameplay, where we make decisions that have a major impact on our country and its society, using a massive amount of tables, schemes, and graphs. We have to cope with problems like poverty, hunger, corruption, and providing access to drinking water, education, and health service. Quite often we get support from developed countries, which provide help with resources or investments.

The second installment of the Rescue series, developed by Fragment Production, a Finnish studio responsible for the previous installment, as well as Roadside Assistance Simulator. When it comes to mechanics, Rescue 2: Everyday Heroes is a strategy game that attempts to simulate typical assignments of firefighters. Our job is to coordinate the units, choose the equipment, employ new firefighters, or exchange vehicles between individual departments. In case of dealing with fire, we need to remember about choosing the right extinguishing agents, finding water sources, and aiming the water stream at the right locations. The game contains a story campaign, but we can also respond to daily assignments. Rescue 2: Everyday Heroes uses up-to-date three-dimensional graphics, but the quality is decent at best.

Another edition of a popular strategy game developed by Stardock. As usual, the game was released right before the upcoming presidential elections in the USA. The game is all about taking part in the political race to the White House. The player takes control of a candidate (one of fifteen available), choosing from among such figures as Donald Trump, Hilary Clinton, or Bernie Sanders. The player can create an original candidate as well. The gameplay in The Political Machine 2016 brings no changes to the mechanics of the previous installments. The player's task is to carry out an electoral campaign in order to convince as many voters as possible that the player's candidate is the best choice. To do that, the player has to travel across the country and participate in meetings with the voters. The player takes part in public debates as well, presenting their viewpoint on the matters the American society is most interested in. Besides, the player has to raise funds and manage their public image.

During the game player assumes the role of a passenger of an automatically moving cart. One uses the cart to travel through various locations filled with different opponents. As per genre's tradition, the player is tasked with quick and effective elimination of everything that moves. In addition to enemies, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is also filled with typical jump-scares that resemble the ones used in amusement parks. The VR goggles improve the immersion of the game – thanks to them the players can feel as if they were personally participating in the events shown on the screen.

A mobile RPG game based on the free-to-play business model. Netrunner takes us to the cyberpunk universe of the tabletop game Android: Netrunner. Players act as hackers, who steal the classified data of powerful companies. This takes place in virtual reality that is so closely connected to users’ brains that the most effective defense systems can turn an unfortunate hacker into vegetable. The game greatly focuses on plot, created under the lead of Meg Jayanth, known as the creator of the story for the adventure game 80 Days. As we take part in hacking missions, we also explore real world – both planes are shown from isometric view, but offer different style and challenges. Fights take place in real time and resemble those from arcade action RPG titles. In cyberspace, there are strategic features, due to the necessity of selecting proper programs. We also gather experience used to develop our hero.

Compared to the basic version of the game, the gameplay mechanics remain the same. The main highlight of Emergency 2016 is the previously unavailable units and a completely new mini-campaign set in the 14th–century Cologne that tells of the struggle against the epidemic of the so-called Black Death. What’s interesting, in the further course of the game, the plague returns in modern times, and the player’s responsibility is to stop it from spreading. Apart from that, the game features a full set of campaigns and scenarios from the vanilla version but complemented with updates released after its launch.
