An atmospheric exploratory adventure game which is the debut project of White Lotus Interactive. The plot of XING: The Land Beyond starts somewhat offbeat — with the death of the protagonist. His souls leaves the body and embarks on a mystical journey through the nether world, shaped, as it turns out, like an archipelago of mysterious islands. On these isles, several different biomes coexist together. In the game, we progressively uncover the truth about the protagonist’s life and help him come to terms with his demise. The gameplay mechanics combine free exploration of extensive levels with numerous logic puzzles that often need to be solved by careful observation and analysis of our surroundings. At the same time, every puzzle can be solved in multiple ways. This is facilitated further by the protagonist’s ability to manipulate the reality — we can, for example, summon rain or unleash a snowstorm. The game is powered by Unreal Engine 3 and supports virtual reality headsets.

Gameplay is modeled after classic platform games like Mega Man and Castlevania. Its old-school character is emphasized by pixel-art graphic design. The game lets you play alone or in a local multiplayer mode for up to 4 players.

The player's own subjects demand further conquests - although they can start a rebellion against their leader in case of the country stagnating, they are eager to fight for the ruler if the player informs them about their war plans. On the other hand, if the player decides to assume the role of a Zoroastrian leader, their goal will be to restore Zoroastrianism to its former, high position. The DLC introduces a set of other elements as well, such as an opportunity to perform sacrifices to gods, berserker frenzies, curses, prophecies, etc. Regardless of the leader the player has chosen, they constantly have to protect their subjects from Christians and Muslims trying to convert them.

Fantasy sandbox role-playing game, being a debut project from AAD Productions studio. Developers wanted to combine the mechanics of classic RPG titles (like The Elder Scrolls series) with survival aspects and free world exploration, typical of modern MMO productions. The game is played in first-person perspective, and the gameplay is focused on exploring subsequent locations by ourselves, instead on completing consecutive story quests. During the game we have to take care of the food supply. We can do so by collecting plants or taking advantage of an extensive hunting model, which allows us not only to hunt, but also to set traps. Thanks to the crafting system, most of the necessary tools we can make ourselves, using found materials and items. Character development differs from traditional patterns – rather than distributing experience points, we gain proficiency in an activity by using it often enough.
