He questions his knowledge and sanity along the way. We will explore various locations, gather items, and solve all kinds of riddles while playing Monolith. Most of the riddles will require us to use the objects we've collected and to tamper with various machines. Less experienced players can use the game's hint system when stuck. Monolith features characteristic, comic book-like visuals.

A sequel to the logic puzzle game by Tiger Style, released for mobile devices in 2009. Spider: Rite of the Shrouded Moon features a brand new story, and it's set in the enormous Blackbird manor, built years ago by a secret society in order to execute a mysterious plan, of which no one knows anything now. Again, you play as a little spider, which has a chance to discover the manor's secrets and its builders' intentions, all while obtaining some food. The basic mechanics have remained the same, and the gameplay focuses mostly on exploring locations, solving puzzles, and hunting delicious insects. An important factor is creating proper webs. Apart from the logical aspect, the game also features an expansive plot, which is revealed step by step as the game progresses, thanks to information and hints you find.

LEGO Bionicle: Mask of Creaion is set on the Okoto Island, where not only have the Masks of Power gone missing, but also the forces of evil are running rampant. The group of protagonists, consisting of Tahu (the Toa of Fire), Kopaka (the Toa of Ice), Onua (the Toa of Earth), Gali (the Toa of Water), Pohatu (the Toa of Stone), and Lewa (the Toa of Jungle), is forced to try and restore the order and reclaim the Masks. Their mission calls for battling numerous adversaries — in combat, the heroes use various fighting abilities, which give them an advantage over their foes. Interestingly, the game was created as a part of the promotional campaign for the new LEGO Bionicle toy line, and despite it's free-to-play model, it does not feature any microtransactions or ads.

A shooter from Arena FPS genre developed by the German studio Reakktor Media and inspired by FPP shooters from the 90s. The story of TOXIKK takes place in the 22nd century, when mega-corporations and cartels took over the Earth after a global energy crisis. Two of such companies play major role in the game: EXOCOM and DRAYOS, competing for EDEN – a recently discovered mineral that can remedy the energy problems of the world. Gameplay is reminiscent of a mix of Unreal Tournament and the Halo series, with two types of maps: Classic (fast-paced battles for 8 players) or Massive (more tactical skirmishes for 16 people). In dynamic battles, we can use 9 different guns which can be found on maps, each with two firing modes. Thanks to the purely aesthetic character of the customization system, the game is fair and highlights the individual skills of each player.

Unlike the latter one, ScreamRide does not feature an economic aspect, and your actions serve science and research on the limits of human beings. The gameplay focuses on completing a series of tasks, in which the key is the fear and scream level among the people riding your rollercoaster. You can also test your tracks yourself, by steering the rollercoaster in the arcade mode. The game features fully destructible environment and advanced physics, apparent in e.g. the spectacular results of your less successful experiments.

A console port of an independent old school fighting game, Yatagarasu, which became quite a success in 2011 in Japan. Legend of Raven takes us to 25th December 1926, when Japan faces a revolution. The government establishes a secret organization of assassins, who are ordered to restore the order and kill anyone opposing the authorities. For its symbol, the group takes a mythical three-legged raven Yatagarasu. Gameplay wise, Legend of Raven is a classic two-dimensional fighting game, featuring an old school style resembling the first entries in the Street Fighter series. The players can choose from various heroes, each with a unique special attack. Gameplay is fast-paced and uses 4-button control, with addition of upper and lower guard. Visuals consist of well-drawn backgrounds and character sprites. This version also features a new soundtrack and better background, as well as improved multiplayer mode.

The work of a one-man Canadian studio Brace Yourself Games in the form of a unique independent production that combines features of seemingly contrasting elements of a roguelike RPG and a dancing game. Crypt of the NecroDancer lets us play as a girl named Cadence, who sets on a journey to find her missing father. It leads her to the mysterious crypt ruled by an evil demon known as NecroDancer. It casts an unusual curse on the protagonist, making her heart always beat in rhythm of a music. As far as its mechanics go, NecroDancer is and old school action RPG. We explore procedurally generated dungeons and fight various monsters using weapons and magic. What makes the game unique is the fact that enemies move to the rhythm of music, and Cadence must adjust to their dance to defeat them. Each enemy she encounters has his unique style, and discovering the correct combination of moves is the key to success.

You play as the eponymous Pneuma, a deity, who observes the beginnings of the universe. Like in the other games in the genre, the gameplay focuses on exploration and solving puzzles, which require good orientation, analytic skills, and unorthodox thinking. In addition, Pneuma: Breath of Life features an internal monologue of the self-congratulatory protagonist. The visuals are high-quality, created with the Unreal Engine 4; the game features beautifully rendered locations with advanced visual effects, such as realistic lighting.

The game’s turn-based combat emphasizes both tactical depth and strategic elements. Spellcrafter’s characteristic feature is its unique system of spell casting. A two-dimensional platformer game inspired by the classic, side-scroll representatives of the genre. It was created by Two Tribes – a Dutch developer popular mainly for the arcade-logic Toki Tori series. RIVE takes the player to an unspecified region of the galaxy, where they face an army of hostile robots, having taken control over a modern-day combat drone. Not only is the player-controlled drone able to move on surfaces, but it can also jump and fly, causing destruction within a radius of 360 degrees. What is more, the player can hack hostile machinery and affect its behaviour, which is done by collecting power-ups. In terms of the mechanics, the game follows the patterns established by classic platformers, though it offers up-to-date visuals – RIVE is filled with spectacular special effects. The gameplay itself is incredibly fast-paced here, offering an arcade experience without unnecessary boundaries.

A sandbox MMO game which emphasizes the survival aspects, developed by polish studio Space Boat with the financial help from Indiego’s users. Players take roles of castaways, who land on one of the islands of an unknown archipelago, and their main task is to survive in a foreign, unknown environment. To achieve this, we explore the diversified open world in search of a shelter and materials, which will allow us to craft basic tools, weapons, armor, and other useful items. Thanks to a simple to learn crafting system, we will easily raise mighty fortresses and construct various siege machines. Our character will develop in the direction set by activities he or she performs most often. In the constantly changing in-game world, we will meet other players, with their tasks being convergent with ours; though it is for us to decide if we compete with them or cooperate, creating micro-societies.

In Jenny LeClue we play as a young miss detective, whose mother has been accused of murdering a school principal adored by the local community. Refusing to believe in her mother’s guilt, the heroine decides to solve the case by herself and discovers that the truth is much more complicated than it seemed. The gameplay focuses on visiting locations, gathering evidence, and dialogues. Furthermore, thanks to a camera-manipulation ability we can observe other characters to look for hints concerning their credibility. The story is told from the perspective of a criminal novel writer who also doubles as the narrator of the story. Them game progresses is nonlinear, as the player’s decisions shape not only the plot, but also affect the fate of the narrator.

Fights in Spellweaver TCG employ a classic turn-based system, but we can use some of the spells or various battle tricks during opponent’s move. It offers a lot of tactical depth, while emphasizing the strategic aspect. The game has been developed with multiplayer mode in mind, where we can take part in tournaments and slowly climb up online rankings. For solitary players, developers prepared an extensive single player campaign.

Many of these actions have been developed with PlayStation 4 pad in mind, like those involving the use of the touchscreen and the gyroscope. A sequel to a classic turn-based war strategy, Battle Academy, developed in 2010 by Slitherine and based on a simple online game promoted by BBC television. The second installment takes you to the Eastern Front of the World War II. The year is 1941, after the Nazi Germany launched the famous Operation Barbarossa, aimed at their former ally – the USSR. Battle Academy 2 offers four campaigns for a total of 30 missions. Apart from that, you can also play through individual scenarios or fight in the skirmish mode. In order to make the gameplay more diverse, maps are generated randomly. At its core the gameplay looks a bit like in the Panzer General series. The developers meticulously recreated over 130 authentic units and combat vehicles from the World War II period. Battle Academy 2 also introduces minor changes to mechanics, such as smoke, short sprinting for infantry units, aerial support, partial damage and tactical use of trenches.

There are over one hundred motor bikes, divided into four categories, available in RIDE. We can modify all of them, in terms of both design and technical aspects. Races take place in fifteen diversified locations, among which we will find the professional Grand Prix race tracks and tracks located in cities and outside of them. As the game leans towards simulation, even the smallest mistake can cost us the entire race. At the same time, many facilities were implemented to make the driving model more arcade and enjoyable for the less experienced players. There are seven game modes available, all of them being playable in both single player and multiplayer.

When the world stands at the brink of war, the heroes are sent to the Kingdom of Afelon to find the one responsible for inciting the people from lesser countries to rebel against the Empire. You take control of a group of six people, who — unlike many other RPG player characters — are already seasoned warriors, although their skills can still be developed. The gameplay focuses on exploration, completing quests, and turn-based combat. To succeed, you not only have to use your characters' abilities, but also to utilize the topography and the objects you find on the maps.

A fantasy 4X strategy game developed by Stardock Systems (the creators of the Galactic Civilizations series). The game takes place in a realm that was almost completely conquered by the titular Sorcerer King. A small group of nations stands on the villain’s way, trying to restore the old order while the evil King is looking for magic crystals that are the key to the complete destruction of the realm. The player can use six characters, each of which has different units, separate development trees and their own spellbook. The gameplay is typical for the genre and the player is tasked with exploring the world, completing various tasks, gathering resources, developing cities, recruiting and training army, fighting in battles with enemies and starting diplomatic relations with other countries. The key to victory is the cooperation with allies – every time the villain defeats a country, the chances for player’s victory drop down drastically.

A space-based tactical strategy which is a debut project of Magnosphere. The action of Contact Vector takes place in distant future, where humanity has managed to colonize numerous space systems throughout the galaxy. We assume the role of a commander of a special interception fleet sent to investigate a mysterious signature left by a hyperspace jump in a seemingly lifeless part of the galaxy. The expedition turns out to be a complete mistake, as the human space is invaded by a mighty galactic empire. The game focuses on large-scale space battles, especially the tactical part – we are left with two types of gameplay: the first one focuses on dynamic combat, with the action taking place in real time, while the second one was designed with turn-based strategy fans in mind – the game pauses every fifteen seconds, offering the ability to rethink our position and send out additional orders.

A horror-themed action-adventure game allowing us to assume the role of Juliette Waters, a woman whose occupation is recording the voices of spirits. Interestingly enough, Sylvio is a project of an independent developer, Niklas Swanberg. Our heroine travels to an abandoned amusement park, left to decay after a powerful storm had led to a landslide. It quickly turns out that the spirits living in the park are very vicious, and the whole area is under the influence of a mysterious curse. Juliette has to escape the cursed amusement park and discover the truth about the curse, staving off frightening dangers at the same time. The heroin has a few tricks up her sleeve – an unusual shotgun powered by pressurized air, able to propel any object that fits the barrel, and a very sensitive microphone that works on frequencies out of the range of the human ear. Such recordings can be saved and listened to in a customized speed, as the messages from the spirits are sometimes unintelligible. Aside from exploration and occasional combat, Sylvio often introduces puzzles solved in a typical adventure-game manner.

The action of the game takes place a few years after the events shown in the "one". General Morden defeated there allied himself with aliens and once again threatens the world and the players' task is to thwart his plans.

The first DLC expansion for Assassin’s Creed: Unity. The add-on is included in the season pass for the game. It takes place after the events presented in the base version of the game and takes the player from the streets of Paris into the dark catacombs of Saint-Denis. There Arno becomes part of a new intrigue related to the tomb raiders who are profaning the tombs of French kings in order to find valuable treasures. The game mostly takes place in the large undergrounds inhabited by various wild animals. While traveling through the dark metropolis, Arno is facing enemies and solving puzzles that are taking him closer to solving the mysteries of the area. The graphics and the story are much darker than those of the base game. It is worth mentioning that the protagonist can use a new weapon, the guillotine gun.
