PlayStation

April 11, 2006

Action, Singleplayer, PlayStation Exclusive.

Using colloquial terminology, Samurai Champloo: Sidetracked is a representative of the hack-and-slash genre, but with an innovative approach to the way the game is played. The programme was created on the basis of a Japanese anime series under the same title, into which many elements of hip-hop culture were entangled. The same applies to the game, called by its creators the lost episode of the television archetype.

Expansion to an arcade action game Tomb Raider II: The Dagger of Xian, the second part of the adventures of Lara Croft, one of the most famous heroes in the history of electronic entertainment. Tomb Raider II: The Golden Mask upgrades the basic game with a separate mini campaign, comprised of four main levels, and one bonus level, available after finding all artifacts. This time, the famous archelologist begins the search for the titular golden mask, which leads her to a small island on the Bering sea. During the expedition, Lara visits, among others, the desolate mines of Alaska, were she meets new enemies and riddles. When it comes to mechanics, Tomb Raider II is based on the solutions from the basic game – we are still dealing with a arcade 3D platform game. Our task is still to traverse varied levels, filled with various obstacles, artefacts, riddles and dangerous enemies – we use our two pistols to deal with the latter.
