Ship Simulator 2008 Add-On: New Horizons is an add-on to Ship Simulator 2008 by the VSTEP development team. The extension offers new types of vessels and a further twenty missions to complete. The developers also decided to introduce an additional variant of free gameplay (free-roaming) in multiplayer mode.

The player has the opportunity to play the role of an air traffic controller, and his duties include tracking radars and announcements, managing the airport apron and taxiways, as well as observing the sky. The creators prepared several airports with different infrastructure and scale of difficulties. For the purposes of the game, 60 models of authentic planes were faithfully reproduced and pilots' announcements were recorded.

The Deus Vult expansion introduces a large number of small updates and novelties, making the kingdom management an even bigger challenge. The developers improved, among others, the system of foreign relations, with our actions and movements resulting in new friends or enemies. The juvenile heroes have also been improved, with each of them now born with a clean card, with the abilities developing during their adolescence. The game also has a new mechanic for the loyalty of our characters, and the authors placed more emphasis on lieges’ behavior. The whole package is complemented by previously unavailable character traits and new random events, as well as expanded diplomatic options.
