Based on the set of rules taken from the Shadowrun role-playing system, Shadowrun Chronicles: Boston Lockdown is an online turn-based strategy developed by Cliffhanger Productions, also known for Jagged Alliance Online. The game takes you to a cyberpunk world torn by conflicts, where elements of science fiction and fantasy coexist. Player-controlled characters – men and women raised in the underground – take on various dangerous missions, which feature both stealthy infiltration as well as open combat. Gameplay consists of two layers. As for the missions, they are presented in the isometric view, like it was in the Jagged Alliance series, and while doing them you make use of a variety of character skills offered by special cybernetic implants. Equally much time the player spends on the city map, where he gathers the necessary intel and prepares for the next job. The fifth installment in the series of arcade fighting games developed by Team Ninja. The game offers more than twenty playable characters among which one can find Ryu Hayabusa and Momiji known from the Ninja Gaiden series, female ninja warriors Kasumi and Ayane, wrestler Tina, crazy Zack, and a few newcomers. The fighters can be personalized, for the player unlocks outfits for them. As usual, the player participates in fast-paced duels requiring them to play aggressively and intercept enemy punches directed on different body parts in order to achieve victory. The game features the infamous breast physics simulation which is a characteristic trait of the series. Fighting takes place on multi-leveled, three-dimensional arenas containing destructible elements. The developers took inspiration not only from 8-bit classics, but also 1980s science fiction anime. The action of Capsule Force takes place in a distant future, in the eve of an intergalactic war. With the threat of apocalypse looming nearby, the galactic leaders have decided to begin an aggressive program of colonization, using futuristic capsules, which creates various internal conflicts. The players choose one of the two warring factions, with the objective to retrieve the capsule taken over by the enemy. Each arena pits two two-manned teams against each other. The key to success lies in the right use of a vast arsenal of weapons and energetic shields and avoiding traps that are laid in large numbers in enemy base. Capsule Force also contains a single player mode, which acts as a form of practice. The game is complemented by 8-bit, pixel-art visuals.

Alien: Isolation - The Trigger is the fifth and final DLC for the science fiction horror game Alien: Isolation developed by Creative Assembly. This DLC is available for the game's season pass owners, but can also be bought separately. The expansion takes place prior to the events of the main game. We play as Ricardo, who, along with his supervisor, tries to remove a xenomorph from Sewastopol's deck. The Trigger does not introduce any new game modes or features and focuses on the already known Survivor mode. We explore three previously inaccessible areas of Sewastopol, with the disabled robot storage being one of them. All the time we have to hide from the murderous alien creature and the less, but still, dangerous androids. The entire expansion is a nice challenge for those who like survival because the new maps are filled with narrow corridors where it's difficult to find a hideout. The Alien that hunts us moves fast and is extremely responsive to any kind of activity or action we take.

Cube Creator 3D is a Minecraft-inpsired sandbox game developed by Big John Games for Nintendo 3DS. The game allows us to create our own kingdom in a randomly generated world. Cube Creator 3D has two primary game modes. In the Creative mode we explore the stereoscopic 3D fantasy world and modify it as we please. We use various tools and resources to do so. Survival mode, like its name suggests, focuses on survival. In it, we start empty handed and we have to find resources as soon as possible and use them to craft basic tools. We will need them to build shelters and create weapons, which we will definitely need to face the monsters living in the game's world. Like in many similar games, Cube Creator 3D's visuals are based on voxels.

The task becomes increasingly complicated, since you have to rotate objects consisting of several parts each. If you have trouble, you can ask for hints or try a different challenge, as the campaign is non-linear and allows you to reach your goal in various ways. In Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 the player can experience the further adventures of Gunvolt and the characters known from the prequel, facing the corporation ruling the future world. The gameplay mechanics are similar as in the previous entry in the series, and the game focuses on traveling through levels and defeating numerous enemies. During the battles, the player can use both firearms and special powers of the protagonists. Battles against powerful bosses are most challenging because they also have many special abilities. The key to defeating them is finding a good tactic.

There is a system of dynamic missions and challenges that change not only for each user, but also for the whole community, and the new tutorial named Skill Quest lets players learn the rules easily. Deck Builder has also been improved, with in-game tips helping us in constructing our decks. Magic Duels: Origins offers Solo Battle mode to face off against artificial intelligence if we don’t want to duel with other people.

The game brings a continuation to a well-received hybrid of a turn-based strategy and an RPG. Braveland Wizard was created by Tortuga Team and casts the player in the role of a female Magic Academy student who sets out on a journey out of hunger for adventure. The protagonist traverses a fantasy world, facing hordes of orcs, ghosts and dangerous nomads. The player explores the game world, completes various story-based missions and side quests, as well as talks to NPCs, trades with merchants and fights the enemies encountered. During the turn-based battles, the player commands a team of characters they have recruited - they make use of both melee weapons and offensive spells. Alongside progression, the player acquires new combat abilities, equipment and spells that fall into three separate schools of magic. Also, the player can improve the previously acquired ones and buy different upgrades for one's subordinates. As compared to the original game, the visuals have not changed considerably - Braveland Wizard comes with cartoonish, eye-pleasing visuals.

The game let us choose fighters from every known race of the 41st millennium, and they must cooperate and use their skills properly to succeed. There are also some RPG features in the game, allowing us to develop characters’ skills.

Depending on the chosen side, our goals may slightly differ, but close cooperation and tactical approach are definitely the mainstay of almost every won battle. The battlefield is seen from an isometric view, with additional points of view available to the commander of each side.
