An online science fiction strategy game by Sparkypants Studios, combining elements of a classical RTS with elements of modern MOBA productions. The action of Dropzone is set in times when humanity’s future is dependent on the mysterious energy source called the Core, and the only place where it can be found is Europa, one of the Jupiter’s moons. The problem is that the place is also a target for the alien race of Kavash. While playing, we control powerful battle mechs and our goal is to defeat the aliens as well as gather the necessary energy. The gameplay is similar to that of classic RTS productions but the developers completely dropped the base building element, focusing solely on tactical battles between two three-member teams. Skirmishes take place on small maps and usually last about 15 minutes. Both teams have to defeat their opponents and take control of the Core located in the middle of the map.

The sequel of Always Sometimes Monsters that lets us learn the further adventures of the original’s protagonist (allowing us to import save games). This time around, we start out as a young, married author of a bestselling novel. Looking for inspiration for another book, the protagonist embarks on a bus tour through the country, making new acquaintances with his fans and fellow writers. Similarly to the first installment in the series, Sometimes Always Monsters puts emphasis on interaction with non-player characters. In the game, there is no combat system whatsoever; instead, we have to constantly make difficult decisions. Player’s choices shape the story and the protagonist’s relationships with other people and influence the number of available options—the decision to take his wife with him alone can open or close some story possibilities. Sometimes Always Monsters features two-dimensional pixel-art graphics which are, however, more detailed than those of its predecessor.

You can choose the right motorcyclist for each challenge, which increases your chances to win. There are 22 licensed motorcycles to choose from (such as Honda, BMW, Kawasaki, KTM, Yamaha), divided into three classes, and 20 tracks, on which you can drive by day or night. Each victory earns you funds, which you can spend on new vehicles and raising your club's renown. A representative of the MOBA genre, created by Phantom Compass - an independent developer. Among other MOBA titles, the game stands out both with its single player story campaign and an artistically original game world. The players are taken to post-apocalyptic United States ruled by motorized gangs. Assuming the role of such a group's member, the player gains access to an extensive system of car modifications, allowing them to work on the chassis, body, armor or weaponry of their vehicle. The multiplayer component is the core of the game, and this is based on two teams fighting one another to destroy the enemy's base. Apart from that, the game features a traditional PvP mode; significantly, duels can be played both online and in the split-screen mode. The in-game story campaign is an interesting component - the player gets acquainted with a conflict between two gangs ruled by Valentina Vega and a person known as Dark Jaw. The game makes references to science-fiction movies from the 1980s, which is intensified by simplistic, cartoonish visuals representing retro-futuristic art style.

Another paid expansion for a fantasy 4X strategy game Endless Legend. The title of the expansion refers to the new, playable race of Alayi, characterized by unique ability to transform during winter, adapting to this harsh season. Alayi are also closely connected with a new resource, called Pearls of Auriga, which can be sacrificed on special altars to modify effects of winter. This allows us to make use of weather to our advantage during battles.

An original co-op logic game developed by an independent studio Steel Crate Games. One player assumes the role of a person who needs to defuse a bomb, while other players have to tell him how to do it. The ticking clock and the fact that each bomb is generated randomly make the title even more difficult. The person tasked with defusing has to supply the other players with detailed information which will enable them to identify the type of the bomb they are currently dealing with. Due to the nature of Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, you will need only one copy of the game and the bomb defusal manual, which can be found at http://www.bombmanual.com/, to play with friends. The title features simple and transparent graphics as well as optional support of VR devices, which are, however, not required to play the game.

An official expansion for the 2015’s economy simulation game by Twice Circled. Big Pharma: Marketing & Malpractice enriches the player’s company with a marketing branch whose employees are limited by almost no ethical principles. They can resort to such practices as bribing doctors into prescribing our products to their patients or organizing social campaigns to convince people that they are sick and only our medicines can cure them. Other noteworthy features include the possibility of conducting clinical tests (and to falsify their results) and manually setting the prices of medicines as well as an expanded list of equipment that we can buy for our factories. Moreover, the game is enriched by perks - unique traits of our company that significantly influence our later activities.

An unusual logic game that combines a turn-based RPG with elements of the popular board game Scrabble, developed by Bacon Bandit Games. In Letter Quest: Grimm’s Journey, we assume the role of two grim reapers called Grimm and Rose who have to face hordes of ghosts, monsters, and other evil spawn using only the power of… words. While playing, we traverse five varied lands and fight turn-based battles with enemies, which allows us to enhance our character and weapons as we progress in the game. Combat itself is quite unusual, since subsequent clashes involve forming words from a grand dictionary that consists of roughly 190 thousand English words. Damage dealt to an enemy depends on the amount of points scored for a given word. The effect can be further modified with the use of magical potions and items that we can buy for jewels obtained in the course of the game.

A science-fiction roguelike shooter employing isometric view and created by Monothetic - a studio established by active members of Half-Life 2 modding community. The player assumes the role of Freja - a hired female pilot whose ship crashes on the surface of an unknown planet. Although the protagonist dies, she gets revived by a cloning station which survived the crash. In order to escape the planet, Freja has to make her way through hordes of hostile alien life forms and find materials required to communicate with those capable of rescuing her. The player explores procedurally generated environments and shoots enemies. In-game death is permanent and forces the player to start over from the very beginning. What makes the job easier however, is the fact that the protagonist is able to gather DNA from her victims. Different DNA combinations can be created before the next attempt - those give access to useful mutations.

Square Heroes is an arcade game developed by the creators of Square Off. Cross-platform multiplayer is the game's main focus. We play as genetically modified creatures whose only goal is to kill and destroy. They were created to save mankind, but now they fight against characters similar to themselves in the Galactic Hero's Tournament. Gameplay is not that dynamic, which makes lags less troublesome. The game has rather simple rules to follow. Before entering the tournament's arena, we have to choose our equipment from around thirty available weapons. We have have five weapon slots: melee weapons (i.e. an axe), small arms (pistol, crossbow, etc.), large guns (shotgun, flamethrower), explosives and special items, i.e. atomic bomb. We begin with level 1 weapons, but we can get money by killing our opponents, which we then can spend on higher tier weapons. Square Heroes also has character progression mechanics.

Mages of Mystralia is an action RPG developed by Borealys Games. The game takes place in a fantasy world where people with magical powers are feared and despised by those without them. Zia, the protagonist, learned it the hard way. After being banished from her home village, she embarks on a journey with a plan to train her magical powers and meet other people like her. We will explore the game's world, do various side and main quests, solve puzzles and riddles, and fight with the encountered enemies. Combat is dynamic and takes place in real time, so we will have to rely on our reflexes very often. As we play, we will collect special runes that unlock specific magical effects. We can freely combine them in order to create new spells. At the same time, we level up our hero. The game and its entire universe are the brainchild of Ed Greenwood who created Forgotten Realms, Dungeons & Dungeons' most popular world.

An online action game focused on PvP competition and a spin-off installment of the ARK series. The title started out as a fan modification which was eventually made into a standalone production with the support of Survival Evolved’s developers. The gameplay premise of ARK: Survival of the Fittest was directly inspired by the popular movie series The Hunger Games. As many as 72 players divided into several six-member teams can play simultaneously. While playing, the participants can make use of a rich arsenal of weapons, armor, and traps. Taming dinosaurs and using them as mounts is also of great importance. The competition takes place in specially-designed closed arenas, up to the moment when there is only one team left standing. The tension is increased by the constantly shrinking circle of death which forces the players to clash more frequently as matches progress.

Adventure, 2D, Humorous, Indie Games, Singleplayer.

An amazingly hilarious adventure game combining elements of the famous Monkey Island series with the crazy Octodad: Dadliest Catch. It was developed by Perfectly Paranormal - an independent game-making studio. The game tells a story of the titular Samuel, who has just died as a result of an accident. In the Afterlife he meets Death, with whom he makes an unusual pact. If he manages to survive an entire day performing tasks typical for an ordinary person, his soul will not be tortured in hell forever. The player is required to perform seemingly simple tasks, such as breathing or controlling their limbs (each separately), blinking their eyes, dress up, go to bathroom, brush their teeth, etc. The controls are not very precise however, which results in many hilarious situations displayed on the screen. The game features humorous, cartoonish visuals.

The game is a continuation to a challenging, though not very complex logic title developed by the independent studio 2SD. The player's goal is to lead an adequate amount of liquid to a test-tube, which is usually located in a place difficult to access. Platforms and walls the player draws are often insufficient to pour the liquid into the tube. In order to effectively complete this apparently simple task, the player needs to take advantage of interactive objects located on the map, such as spinning circles, gusts of wind or portals. At first glance, they seem to be no more than obstacles, but using them with creativity makes it easier for the player to achieve their goal. Over the course of 27 maps, the player will encounter other mechanics as well - for instance, liquids with different colors have to be mixed - such conditions diversify the experience and make it more challenging. The gameplay is complemented by a well-designed level editor.

Strategy, Fantasy, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Indie Games, Internet, Card Games, Multiplayer, Singleplayer, Turn-based.

A card game with turn-based strategy elements that uses free-to-play distribution model with microtransactions. Faeria invites the players into an old fantasy world, home to humans as well as other intelligent species. The game puts emphasis on the lore and contains much additional information about the fictional universe. As for the gameplay, Faeria represents an unorthodox approach to the card game genre. Duels between two players are the foundation of the game. The fights are waged by using cards drawn from users’ personal decks. The warriors must also gather resources and use them in the duels. The cards represent heroes, effects and spells, but they cannot be played freely. Instead they have to be used on special, hexagon fields. Empty at first, the map becomes filled with hexes due to the player’s actions, and various terrain types affect the behavior of units and spells. Another innovation in the game is the necessity for characters to find themselves on adjacent fields in order to start the battle. It is worth adding that Faeria also allows the owners of various gaming platforms to face each other.

A simple puzzle action game that represents the ‘match-3’ subgenre. It is a mobile spin-off of the jRPG series Yo-Kai Watch known from 3DS consoles. The game, developed for mobile platforms, has different mechanics than the original series. It offers simple, casual gameplay that focuses on moving sets of the title creatures in such way so that at least three yokai of same type are in one row. Success in doing that allows performing attacks during duels with enemies on which the whole game is focused. During the game yokai are constantly fighting in a round container and the player has no time to carefully plan his moves as a good reflex is required for the success. Yo-Kai Watch Wibble Wobble offers story campaign in which the world is divided into few zones. Reaching each of them requires defeating creatures guarding the entrance. During the game new yokais are gradually unlocked and the abilities of already obtained ones improves.

The player assumes the role of a daredevil entering the kingdom of Iblis in order to explore the legendary complex of dungeons and caves, allegedly filled with priceless treasures. The protagonist encounters difficulties embodied by hostile creatures and ruthless looters, and the player has to deal with them. Dungeons are procedurally generated, thus they are always shaped differently. As the player progresses through the game, the protagonist gains experience, obtains better equipment, and learns new skills. The two-dimensional graphics of the game resemble Don't Starve in terms of their stylistics. The specific atmosphere of the game has its source in subdued colors and exaggerated characters - especially the various kinds of monsters.
