Lethis: Daring Discoverers is a steampunk adventure game developed by Triskell Interactive and serves as a sequel to Lethis: Path of Progress. The game is set in the same world as Lethis: Path of Progress, but its action takes place in a later historical period - in a fantasy version of Victorian times. Technology in this world is so advanced that it is now possible to construct gigantic cannons that can launch manned capsules to other planets. We play as one of the adventurers who take part in such an expedition. In terms of gameplay mechanics, Lethis: Daring Discoverers is an adventure game where we explore alien planets. At the beginning, we choose one of the five available characters (each of them has their own biography, character, skills, and equipment). As we play, we will explore those worlds, make difficult decisions, contact alien races, fight with enemies, and solve logic riddles. We will also have to make journals of our discoveries and search for artifacts that grant us access to special powers and new technologies.

Developed by an independent Canadian studio Coconut Games, The Day After: Origins is an open world game, in which the player has to fight for survival during their stay in Grey Hill. This backwater town is under quarantine because of an unknown virus that turns the inhabitants into wild, aggressive creatures. In The Day After: Origins, the player assumes the role of one Noah Byers, who in an attempt to stay alive in this unwelcoming reality, faces all kinds of new problems, as well as some unsolved cases from his past. During the game, one gets to explore the quarantine zone and fight diverse enemies - mostly the infected townsfolk. As the opponents can quickly adapt to new conditions and tactics executed by the player, one has to prove his skills in handling both cold steel weapons and firearms, as well as think outside the box and resort to some unconventional measures, such as covering the bullets with special substances, adding some additional side effects to the overall damage they deal.

Exploring the galaxy and its planets on the deck of a spaceship plays also an important role. Both of these feature enemies – space battles look like classic shooters, while combat on the surface of a planet is turn-based. The Walking Dead: March to War is a free-to-play mobile multiplayer strategy game based on The Walking Dead franchise. It was developed by Disruptor Beam, a studio known for games like Game of Thrones Ascent or Star Trek Timelines. March to War features optional microtransactions. The game takes place near Washington, D.C. some time after the zombie epidemic began. We lead a group of survivors and try to keep them alive in the new, post-apocalyptic reality. In order to do so, we will have to expand and upgrade our base, manage our resources, and complete missions. We will also have to find and recruit other survivors. Each of them has their own story, personality, and abilities which we can level up. All deaths are permanent, so losing a high level survivor can be painful. The so-called Council system plays a crucial role in the game. The Council is made of characters we know from the comic books. Each of them is a skilled survivor, making them great leaders of mission squads. It is almost impossible to achieve victory by playing by ourselves. The Walking Dead: March to War forces to create alliances with other players in order to defeat common enemies.

Some tiles, however, are immobile and cannot be rotated; if you know the mechanics well enough, you can use it to your advantage. Project Mekuru's multiplayer mode allows 4 players to play with each other at once, either online or using just one console. We have to remember though that War on Cancer is a free-to-play game, and the income from microtransactions goes to a person that is fighting cancer (we chose that person before we start) or to the account of the Skarbonka program that serves all patients. We do this by pointing a handheld laser – when the rays reflect from an obstacles, the system analyzes them, calculates their position and draws a shape of our surroundings. This image is displayed in a helmet worn by the protagonist. The system designed by developers has many functions that help us orient ourselves during exploration of caves. Those include: addition of color gradient in space depending on how far the points are from the player, the ability to change width of the scanning beam and map mode that shows every scanned and drawn corridor. The labyrinth explored by us hides many secrets, from common wonders of nature (like caves of stalactites and stalagmites) to ruined buildings of ancient cultists.

Another story expansion for the incredibly popular free-to-play CCG, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft by Blizzard Entertainment. The plot of Mean Streets of Gadgetzan is focused on gang wars that occur in the eponymous Gadgetzan which turned into a metropolis teeming with life thanks to rapidly-developing trade. The city’s development, apart from merchants, also brought hordes of thugs to its streets. After numerous battles between the local crime families, only the strongest three remain. The gameplay is somewhat different than what the vanilla game and the previous DLCs got us used to. The developers introduced new cards that can be used not by one but by three different classes. Moreover, there are three completely new factions (Grimy Goons, Jade Lotus, Kabal), each offering three hero classes.

A web-based hockey arcade game, focusing on pvp gameplay. Hockey stars utilizes the free-to-play model with optional microtransactons. Like the previous Miniclip's production, Soccer Stars, Hockey Stars is a simple game inspired by coin football. Two five-person teams are pitted against each other and their task is to put the puck in the opponent's goal. The puck bounces of the edges of the pitch, but can also be controlled by the player, which allows for more precise strikes. The games take place on several pitches located in various parts of the world, and every pitch features different conditions of victory. Each won game earns you new fans, level-ups, and virtual money, which you can use to buy better team members or formations. You can not only play single games, but also participate in tournaments, which can yield you attractive prizes. Hockey Stars features simple but nice 2D graphics, which fit the casual style of the game.

Since it is full of dangers, the player will have a lot opportunities to fight – using either melee weapons or firearms – and the battles have a rather high difficulty level. Instead of gaining experience, the players receive sand which also serves as energy and currency. However, having too much sand can lead to insanity – for example, player's character can perceive villagers as monsters.

Action, FPP, Indie Games, Internet, Multiplayer, Stealth, TPP, Free-to-play.

A multiplayer action game featuring elements of stealth, created by SIM720 - a British developer. The game focuses on two teams of players competing against each another - one team consists of agents and the other of rogues. The mechanics were based loosely on the classic hide & seek game. Rouge Operatives is played in rounds, during which the job of the agents is to track and eliminate all the rogues; the latter, on the other hand, have to remain undetected until the end of the round. What is innovative about this game however, is that although the agents are rather typical figures running around with firearms, the rogues were gifted with a unique ability to disguise themselves as different objects of the in-game environment, such as barrels, buckets, packages, shovels, rakes or ladders. This special ability allows the rogues to become one with the environment, which makes it easier to stay hidden. Additionally, both sides can make use of the various power-ups scattered throughout the maps.

A simplified version of yet another edition of the most popular football manager simulation game by Sports Interactive, and a title half-way between Football Manager 2017 and its mobile edition, Football Manager Mobile 2017. In the game, we assume the role of a manager of one of more than 2,5 thousand football clubs from over 100 different leagues, trying to provide our team with both sports and financial successes. Football Manager Touch 2017 follows the path set by its predecessor and offers a much faster gameplay than that of the major installments of the series, at the same time being more complex than the mobile version. Such effect was achieved thanks to abandoning many business aspects of the gameplay and focusing mainly on transfers and match tactics. Compared to its predecessor, the new edition is characterized by a number of enhancements in graphics and mechanics as well as the previously unavailable multiplayer mode.

An FPP action game with stealth elements, developed by indie studio The Outsiders. The game is set in the alternative Middle Ages, where Scandinavia is inhabited not only by Vikings, but also by a forgotten race of sapient beasts. You play as one such creature, observing how it grows up into a ferocious predator. At first, Project Wight seems like a stealth game, as the beast is weak and cannot fight, so it has to sneak past enemies and hide in places humans are unable to reach. As the game progresses, however, the protagonist learns how to violently get rid of foes, run amazingly fast, and even glide and deafen enemies with a horrific scream. The game utilizes the Unity technology, and the 3D visuals are very detailed and feature realistic lighting effects.

A stealth game set in a spaghetti western setting, developed by Honig studio. It takes place in an alternative version of The Wild West, based on Sergio Leone’s movies. The protagonist – the titular El Hijo – looks for his missing father, traversing places filled with dangers: from an orphanage he was raised in, through a desert full of monster, and up to a town ruled by merciless gunslingers. Due to the fact that the boy has no chance of defeating any of those threats, the gameplay is based on hiding behind objects and sneaking behind opponents’ backs. El Hijo’s interface helps with that, constantly showing the enemy range and field of sight. There is also a wide variety of items and gadgets to use. El Hijo uses characteristic, good-looking visuals based on cartoon style, with simple shapes and contrasts.

A turn-based strategy for mobile devices, developed by Ludia, based on the license of a classic SF series Battlestar Galactica. The story repeats the events seen in the TV series. We follow the fortunes of a star cruiser trying to find a new home for humanity, threatened by the overwhelming forces of the Cylons – an alien robot race which will not rest until all of mankind is extinct. When it comes to mechanics, Battlestar Galactica: Squadrons is a turn-based space strategy, sprinkled with elements found in card games. The player collects spaceships, using them to participate in space battles. Additionally, we can upgrade our fleet with parts salvaged from defeated enemy units. The individual ships have been balanced according to “rock-paper-scissors” rules: unit that is effective against a certain type of enemy will be completely useless against a different type.

Another edition of the most popular game series devoted to handball, developed by Bigben Interactive in cooperation with EKO Software. Mechanics-wise, Handball 17 does not deviate significantly from its predecessor. The developer didn’t bother with management and other non-sports elements and focused on the gameplay itself, putting emphasis on the incredibly important tactical layer. In the game, we can lead one of 82 licensed teams of the leading European handball leagues (e.g. French, German, or Spanish) to victory. Compared to the previous installment of the series, the production is characterized by visibly enhanced artificial intelligence which manifests both in the behavior of our rivals and our own players. Apart from that, the developers significantly revamped the controls and made them much more user-friendly for beginners thanks to numerous tutorials and hint systems.
