This time the developers from Maxis focused on expanding the male-female relations. The Sims: Hot Date offers a large set of new faces, hobbies and thematic objects like a picnic basket, romantic couch and a sexy bath tub. The expansion introduces a few dozen of new interactions between the Sims and new ways of using existing items. A new location appears in the expansion as well: the city center that is filled with restaurants, souvenir shops and parks to which a Sim can invite his date. Sims can meet each other on a romantic dinner with candles, at a bar or on a picnic. The player can also send a lone Sim to the city where he can find his second half.
