The second stand-alone expansion for Company of Heroes 2, the game developed in 2013 by the Relic Entertainment studio. As the subtitle of the add-on suggests, in the game we return to the Western Front of World War II during the famous German counter-offensive in the Ardennes. In contrast to the first expansion that focused on multiplayer mode, this time the developers decided to concentrate on the single player campaign. During 18 subsequent missions telling a single, coherent story we take charge of the American units fighting against the forces of Nazi Germany. Game develops dynamically depending on our decisions, and the key to success is to gain experience, plan tactically and wisely manage a very limited supply of people and equipment. Technical aspects of the game remained unchanged, but the developers decided to introduce three new American companies with unique officers.

The 21st expansion for the MMORPG EverQuest by Daybreak Game Company, originally released in 1999, whose popularity hasn't diminished despite the competition and the release of the second installment in the series. The expansion, released for the game's 15th anniversary, adds eight new locations (Arx Mentis, Caverns of Endless Song, Combine Dredge, Tempest Temple, The Lost Castle, and Thyliasaur Island) and new enemies, including dinosaurs. Additionally, the experience cap has been raised to level 105. The developers also added new side quests, as well as equipment, spells, and abilities. A keyring has also been implemented, which partially solves the problem with insufficient inventory space. The expansion utilizes the same technology as the game, released over ten years ago, but its visuals are more detailed.

The fourth expansion pack for the 2013’s Europa Universalis IV, which is a part of the popular grand strategy game series by Paradox. Art of War is focused on the events of the Thirty Years' War, in which, apart from the Holy Roman Empire and the Catholic Habsburg dynasty, almost all European countries of the period were involved. The primary novelty of the add-on is the story campaign set in the aforementioned historical period. For its purposes, the combat system, for both land and naval battles, was enhanced. The expansion also improves military recruitment as well as diplomacy by introducing new options of concluding trade agreements and the possibility to declare war because of a vassal. We can also create satellite states and transform them into bastions that protect our country from the enemies. The integral part of the add-on is a large update that introduces a number of changes in the vanilla game’s mechanics.

Crusader Kings II: Charlemagne is focused on the eponymous Charles the Great, king of the Franks and the founder of the Holy Roman Empire. The action takes us to the year 769, to the early years of his reign. The campaign concentrates on the most important events of Charlemagne’s reign and the wars he fought. The expansion introduces a number of special events that do not appear in the vanilla game as well as a new system of climatic and seasonal changes. Crusader Kings II: Charlemagne also comes with several gameplay mechanic modifications and some entirely new options, such as creation of your own country (including its flag and a unique name). The production is distinguished by the fact that clashes with opponents - maintained in a dynamic, very arcade style known to fans of the series - take place on the surface of three-dimensional solids, and as a result they are characterized by a large unpredictability.

Game focuses on rivalry of feuding groups of Vikings, requiring team work and proper usage of individual skills of each hero. Gameplay combines classic action fighting games with hack’n’slash titles, though developers gave up on extreme realism to offer a unique style and flat-out joy of playing. Title employs the advanced Unreal Engine 4.

A refreshed version of an old-school RPG from Spiderweb Software; the game is a continuation to Avernum: Escape from the Pit. Avernum 2: Crystal Souls is set in the same fantasy world, and to be precise - in the undergrounds that were turned into a huge prison by the Empire, which rules the world. Once again player leads a group of prisoners, who as depicted in the previous installment, managed to assassinate the despotic leader of the Empire - Hawthorne. Now, they have to face the Empire's counter-attack - the wrongdoers' aim is to reclaim control of Avernum and get rid of all the rebels. The player leads a party of four characters and observes their actions from an isometric view. Taking part in turn-based encounters, the team gains experience, developing their statistics and skills. Battles are very complex, allowing the player to use magic (over 60 spells and hundreds of artifacts) and advanced combat tactics. While exploring, the player visits over a hundred diverse locations. In total, the game delivers about 40 hours of play, and three independent paths lead to victory over the Empire. When developing this refreshed version, the creators were focused mainly on improving the visuals.

A Squad Based Action RTS, which, according to the developers’ ambitions, is to become the modern version of the legendary 1998 Myth. This inspiration is clearly visible in the spectacular battles set in a dark fantasy world. In the game, the player can become a leader of one of the available factions, such as the Norse Empire, goblins, and ice giants, but doesn't have to develop their base or worry about resources. The army one gets to command can comprise various units – e.g. warriors, rangers, sappers, and medics. The key to success lies in the ability to use this army along with a set of units’ special abilities and the elements of the environment. As the players progress through the story, they acquire experience points, which can be spent on new abilities and the so-called relics, allowing one access to magical powers. The game offers several modes and focuses mostly on the multiplayer experience.

The Bright Lord is the second DLC to Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor developed by Monolith Productions. The expansion takes us to the distant past where we play as Celebrimbor. Remembering how much the Dark Lord hurt his family, Celerbrimor declares war on Sauron and tries to stop him from getting his hands on the Ring of Power. Unlike Talion, the protagonist of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor - The Bright Lord can use the power of the One Ring. He can use it to mind control his enemies, force them to attack their allies, and even become invisible. All of those things provide us with many possible tactical approaches to combat. Moreover, Celebrimbor is a much better archer. The Bright Lord requires the base game to be playable.

A two-dimensional platformer game with numerous logic elements developed by Appsquare. The world in which Clockwork takes place was struck with a plague that killed the majority of its population many years before. Few survivors have sheltered themselves behind the walls of the city of Watchtower, trying to find an antidote for the dangerous virus. Alas, it turned out that the only way to avoid the plague is to close one’s mind in a mechanical body that is immune to diseases. In the game, we assume the role of a homeless boy named Alto who discovers that the watch he owns is inhabited by a creature of great power that is willing to help rebuild the old order. In this way, Alto embarks on a grand adventure that involves solving puzzles, fighting enemies, and manipulating the spacetime. The game features detailed hand-drawn graphics that have uniquely atmospheric style.

A roguelike action RPG developed by Socialspiel Entertainment together with the established Nexon company. In Legacy Quest, we lead a team of brave warriors who explore a typical fantasy land full of dungeons and with a myriad of enemies to defeat. The game is played from an isometric view, and the gameplay resembles a typical hack ‘n’ slash production, focusing on elimination of hordes of enemies with the use of purely arcade combat model. What’s interesting, we can create each party member, as well as the vast majority of their equipment, from scratch, using an extensive crafting system. The game does not lack for a typical character development system, but, as befits a roguelike title, death is permanent for all heroes. If one of them perishes, his or her equipment is also gone. However, it stays in the game world and can be found and used by other players.
