The second DLC expansion included in the season pass for The Evil Within. It shows the second half of the story from the previous expansion, starting right after the end of The Assignment. Once again, the players assume the role of Julia Kidman, partner of the game’s amnesiac protagonist, who mysteriously disappeared during the events of the game. As we progress through levels, we find answers to our questions and learn the secret behind the Julia's disappearance. As in the main game, gameplay encompasses mainly exploration, solving puzzles and fighting various monsters. However, the atmosphere of both DLCs is much thicker and horror-oriented.

Theatrhythm Dragon Quest is a rhythm game with RPG elements. It is the third game in the series. Two previous installments focused on the music and characters from the iconic Final Fantasy series. This time, Square Enix decided to connect the game with the lesser known Dragon Quest series. As we play, we will hear dozens of pieces of music used in the Dragon Quest games. Gameplay in Theatrhythm Dragon Quest is based on the same mechanics as the previous games. We will have to push the icons that appear on the screen in line with the rhythm of the music. Not only our reflexes matter, but also how long our stylus touches the console's touch screen. Some of the sounds require a quick tap, some touching the screen for a longer moment, and some will force us to move the stylus from one side to another. The game offers a couple of game modes, including multiplayer. Theatrhythm Dragon Quest has unique visuals that bring paper cutouts and flash animations to mind.

First story DLC expansion for The Evil Within – a third person survival horror from Tango Gameworks – which comes as part of seasons pass. The game’s plot follows three detectives sent to asylum to investigate murders committed in this place. DLC takes place simultaneously with the events of the main game, but features a different perspective. We now play as detective Sebastian Castellanos' missing partner, Julia Kidman, whose tale hasn’t been fully explained in the story of the base gam, allowing us to unveil the complexity of the whole story and learn the reasons behind her mysterious disappearance. A new completely plotline is introduced through exploration and solving puzzles, though fighting and action sequences are still present. DLC stands out with its darker and more claustrophobic atmosphere.

It has to be mentioned that the contents of every island are generated procedurally. As we play, we will explore giant forests, grim dungeons, and weird structures made of elements. Gameplay focuses on doing various quests, fighting with enemies, gathering more and more powerful equipment, and leveling up our character through a classless progression system - we can freely chose the skills and abilities we want to use during our adventures. In the fictional Empire City, fighters known as Guardians are tasked with closing time-space portals and bringing back peace to the universe. Gameplay encompasses two 5-men teams that try to destroy enemy units and destroy opponent’s headquarters. We are given a vast arsenal of futuristic weapons and 10 heroes with different specializations, who can assume different roles on the battlefield. The game’s world is observed from above, and the players control their characters using WASD keys, like in classic shooters.

A turn-based strategy game and a continuation of Frontline: Road to Moscow. The creators from 88mm studio drew inspiration from the popular war film The Longest Day. The action takes place on the Western Front of World War II, during Operation Overlord - the Allied invasion of Normandy on 6th of June, 1944. The campaign consists of five extensive chapters in which you take part in real battles over Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword beaches, and the Cherbourg port. Mechanically, the title is similar to its predecessor – during turn-based fights, the player can command more than 100 types of land, naval, and air units. With the experience the units gain, the player can shape their army, and the maps based on authentic cartographic materials require us to account for such factors as the type of terrain and vegetation. The title utilizes the same graphic engine as Frontline: Road to Moscow.

Yet another joke simulation game, a genre which, contrary to any logical reasoning, keeps gaining crowds of fans. The hero of this game, developed by an independent team at Bossa Studios, is a slice of bread, and the player’s job is to take it all the way to a toaster. Gameplay mechanics in I Am Bread are pretty complex, the biggest difficulty being controlling all four corners of the toast separately. With these mechanics the “hero” can perform simple moves on any flat surface. The game is played in various rooms, and in order to get the toast to its ultimate destination you can make use of various types of house equipment, e.g. a fan, which makes for an excellent catapult. While playing, you must also supervise two essential statistics of the bread: its edibility and deliciousness. Too much dirt can make the toast completely inedible.

A classic turn-based RPG in a postapocalyptic setting, and with a strong dash of roguelike elements. Skyshine Games, whose staff worked on the Darksiders series among others, took the reins of the production. The game is set in the distant future, on Earth - a planet destroyed as a result of scientific experiments gone wrong. The surviving life focuses around two metropolitan areas: Byzantium - a decaying city, and the utopian Aztec City. The player assumes the role of the Mechanic who is a successor to the once powerful guild of inventors. Using his armored vehicle called Dozer, the hero wanders the desert collecting raw materials and fighting with numerous enemies, be it bandits, mutants, cyborgs, or robots. The game also features randomly generated plot challenges such as transporting passengers between the cities. The experience we gain by completing these quest enables us to develop the skills of our subordinates and modify our armored vehicle.

A multiplayer-oriented action game set in space, developed by the creators of Strike Suit Zero series, Edge Case Games Studio. Its story is set in the distant future, in which humanity has colonized many foreign star systems. The game doesn’t offer much of a backstory though, focusing on online skirmishes for teams of up to five players. Each players takes control of a powerful ship belonging to one of several classes, each equipped with a different set of on-board system and weaponry. However, every capital ship is the core of an armada of smaller ships, which we control like units in classic RTS titles. As we progress through the game, those units can be upgraded, and their detailed layouts can be decide separately. The outcomes of battles between factions shape the game's the universe.

The game was developed by Nude Maker studio in cooperation with many genre veterans, who have created such franchises as Clock Tower, Silent Hill, and the Ju-On movie series. Night Cry takes place on a passenger ship. A series of brutal murders that take place there scares the passengers and makes it impossible to continue the cruise. The player assumes the role of one of the surviving passengers - his task is to discover the identity of the killer. The gameplay mechanics of the game focus on adventure-related activities such as exploration, collecting items, conversations and solving riddles (some of which have a time limit). From time to time one can also encounter action sequences. However, the player's objective is not to fight, but to hide from the murdered and – in case of being discovered – escape.

The action of Contact Vector takes place in distant future, where humanity has managed to colonize numerous space systems throughout the galaxy. We assume the role of a commander of a special interception fleet sent to investigate a mysterious signature left by a hyperspace jump in a seemingly lifeless part of the galaxy. The expedition turns out to be a complete mistake, as the human space is invaded by a mighty galactic empire. The game focuses on large-scale space battles, especially the tactical part – we are left with two types of gameplay: the first one focuses on dynamic combat, with the action taking place in real time, while the second one was designed with turn-based strategy fans in mind – the game pauses every fifteen seconds, offering the ability to rethink our position and send out additional orders.
X Rebirth: The Teladi Outpost

The first large DLC expansion pack to the space simulator X Rebirth created by Egosoft in 2013. The expansion titled The Teladi Outpost features completely new star system with two unique sectors to explore. During the game the player visits, among other locations, a big space Teladi space station and encounters previously unknown factions like pirates and smugglers. The game features many additional missions that are part of a completely new storyline, new weapons, equipment, ships and various upgrades. The expansion also features the large 3.0 patch that introduces many improvements and fixes to the base game.

Six Miles Under is a debut project of the independent Polish studio Looney Bin Studios. We are talking about a beat 'em up platform skill, characterized by two-dimensional graphics in an interesting style and postapocalyptic realities. As Preston Trencher, a former bodyguard, we cross the underground city and eliminate dozens of opponents standing on our way to revenge.
