The first large expansion to the popular Guild Wars 2 MMO by ArenaNet. The add-on introduces a whole new storyline, set in the previously unavailable territory of Maguuma jungle. The new, open map hides a multitude of missions (main and side quests alike), new opponents, and challenging bosses. To help you fight them, you will be joined by new allies – the ancient civilizations dwelling in the jungle, whom you discover as you progress in the game. Heart of Thorns also introduces Revenant character class and the Guild Halls feature that lets you establish your guild’s base in the heart of the jungle and expand it over time. The game also introduces lots of changes to gameplay mechanics and character progression system (modified Mastery system and secondary specializations). For the enthusiasts of competitive gameplay, a new PvP Stronghold mode awaits, as well as the map called Borderlands, designed with World vs. World gameplay in mind.

An unusual logic game developed by Zachtronics, an independent studio known from niche titles such as Ironclad Tactics or SpaceChem. Infinifactory is an attempt to expand upon the ideas found in Spacechem, with first-person perspective and in a three-dimensional environment. We assume the role of an employee of an unusual factory owned by an alien race. Our job is to create various items from parts appearing on the assembly line. We can manipulate the plant through pushing, moving, rotating, or connecting various elements. If needed, the manufactured element can be stamped or discarded, however, be warned – failure to deliver orders may end with the player’s death. Aside from the story mode, the authors introduced a sandbox mode that enables us to create our own projects which then can be shared with other players.

An unusual online free-to-play game that combines real-time strategy and MOBA. Battle Battalions (previously known as Victory or Victory Command) was designed by Petroglyph, an experienced developer, formerly a part of the legendary Westwood Studios (known for the Command & Conquer series). The game is set in modern day, although it does not refer to any actual armed conflicts. The game focuses on clashes of two 5-player teams, in which everyone commands a selected battalion of several types: infantry, recon vehicles, or tanks. Each of these is further split into several subgroups possessing unique characteristics. The main focus of gameplay lies in the dynamic, spectacular battles that last no more than 10 minutes. Despite that, the gameplay features significant tactical depth, requiring strategic thinking and cooperation between team members, as well as proper usa of the potential of individual battalions.

Another module created for Digital Combat Simulator World, an advanced flight simulator. This time, aviation fans can use the CASA C-101 – a Spanish jet that was first put into service in 1975. The jet is available in two versions: traditional trainer and the more advanced ground attack variant. This machine wasn't very popular and currently is only used by the Spanish Air Force's national acrobatic team. The jet is recreated with attention to smallest details – both in its looks, construction (e.g. electric components, navigation, fuel and hydraulics systems) as well as its behavior in the air. In addition to that, accordingly to the rules of DCS World platform, players get access a fully interactive cockpit which can be customized. The module also supports online flights with other members of DCS World community.

The tasks which player will complete include recruiting armies, training the units, fighting in a turn-based system and conquering new territories. The gameplay mechanics are similar as in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series, except that the typical historic themes are swapped with a fantasy world filled with extraordinary creatures. Yo-Kai Watch: Three Kingdoms, similarly as its jRPG predecessors, utilizes the unique features of 3DS handhelds, allowing controlling the units in unordinary ways.

Another entry in a jRPG series, started in 1996 by Tri-Ace studio, that combines elements of fantasy and science-fiction. Plot of Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness has been set in universe well-known to fans of the series, with culture and technology resembling that of 16th century’s Europe. The story takes place 500 years after the events of the previous game, and its main hero is a 23 years old knight, Fidel Camus, who tries to protect his home village Stahr. He is supported in his task by his childhood friend, Miki Sorvesta, who possesses extraordinary healing skills. On their way, they meet a mysterious girl who lost all her memories, eventually deciding to set on a dangerous journey to help her. In terms of game mechanics, production doesn’t strand from genre’s canons, focusing on exploring, completing tasks and developing skills and equipment of heroes. The game mechanics are complemented by a dynamic real-time battle system.

We play as a young boy who sets out on a journey accompanied by the mascot of the series, a Felyne warrior. A one-man-one-cat team travels across a vast open world, performing various tasks and facing local monsters. As we progress through the story, our heroes will encounter bigger and bigger creatures, and defeating them will require proper equipment and the right tactic. The game presents different visuals than its full-scale predecessors: a very colorful graphics that make use of cel-shading.

The 7th Guest: Remastered utilizes the first-person view, and the remake features not only new visuals and audio but also also a new interface and menu. The controls system has also been revamped. The remastered edition also includes 19 additional cutscenes and 33 audio fragments, which were cut from the original.

Construction Machines 2016 is based on two main aspects, the first one being the strategy – in this case, one gets to manage an entire enterprise, sign new contracts, and invest the money one has earned in order to unlock more profitable undertakings and some new locations. The second aspect is the simulation itself, where the players can operate numerous construction machines and construct, demolish, or maintain buildings with their own hands. Among other things, the players get at their disposal excavators, huge construction cranes, and dump trucks. What is worth mentioning, the player has to maintain and improve the aforementioned machines – in total, the game offers 40 upgrades to install on the vehicles. The entire experience becomes even more interesting with all the available tools, such as wrenches, hammers, and even some explosives. Construction Machines 2016 is based on a new technology and the 3D visuals present a relatively high-quality execution – especially the dynamic demolition system, which delivers satisfying animations of collapsing structures and other elements from the environment.

Combat is turn-based, which is typical of the series, and we command a group of heroes in battle. Final Fantasy Grandmasters also features an advanced character development system — as we level up, we can enhance the statistics of our heroes and unlock new skills.

The gameplay is similar to many other online FPS games, although there's an emphasis on controlling tanks. There are several character classes available, each using different weapons, but your choice is not binding and you can change your class when you find the right weapon on the battlefield. Despite the WW2 setting, the game is not quite historically accurate and features a large dose of humor. The high-quality visuals have been created utilizing the Unreal Engine 4.

During the game we can play as the ruler of the Empire trying to rebuild its former glory, or lead one of the other kingdoms, choosing among 35 factions featuring their own history, culture, and racial structure. Gameplay in Sovereignty: Crown of Kings is based on the usual mainstays of 4X strategy games, supplemented by turn based combat system that involves trained troops and heroes, possessing unique special abilities, recruited during the game.

Gameplay is divided into two main segments: the world exploration is presented in a classic isometric perspective; when we encounter an enemy however, camera switches to a 3D view and tactical turn-based combat begins. Visually, Stella Glow is designed in a typical manga style, featuring super-deformed character models.

If he wins, he can befriend the creature and use his special abilities later in the game. The game utilizes the special features of 3DS console. While exploring the world and fighting many actions are performed by drawing specific gestures on the touch screen.

The game begins with the creation of our character using an extensive editor. The gameplay itself is divided into two separate sections. During the day, we take part in our hero’s daily life, which means working, taking trips around town, and buying new clothes and furniture. Wake The Dreamer has an interesting feature – our character lives his life according to a real clock, and proceeds with his duties even when the game is turned off. However, once the hero falls asleep, we switch to a dream world, in which we use a spaceship to travel between planets, take part in a galactic conflict between alien races, or even try to find love. Both worlds constantly force us to make important decisions that influence the plot as well as the future of our protagonist. Wake The Dreamer employs pixel-art visuals, fitting the theme of the game.

Our character can jump, grab edges and manipulate objects to prepare cunning traps. The are many ways and paths that can make us succeed, as long as we come up with a good plan.

Moreover, the players can also use the help of over five hundred spirits, who have their own unique skills, grouped according to rules of the rock-paper-scissors game. The controls in Spirit Lords utilize drawing symbols on the screen.

In this add-on, the players get to control an elite Space Marine faction – The Dark Angels chapter, whose main objective is to eliminate the Tyranids preparing a full-scale assault on the planet of Corinth from the space hulk orbiting around it. The story campaign includes twenty new missions. Additionally, the Flash Mission game mode has been expanded by 20 new scenarios. When adding the new features, the developers did not omit the gameplay mechanics, introducing new plasma weapons, available in the battlefields, as well as the aforementioned Dark Angels chapters, whose members - the Apothecaries - serve as support units.

What is characteristic about Minions Paradise, are its eye-pleasing visuals that resemble the animated original. Both artists and screenwriters that co-created the film series took part in the production process of the game as well.

An MMORPG created by Genom Games and set in a science-fiction world. The player is taken to a time in the distant future, when the Earth gets completely destroyed and humanity must find a new home. Avalon is one of the few inhabitable planets mankind has discovered, and one that appears to be an idyllic place. Unfortunately however, as it turns out on arrival, humans have to fight for the planet against the creatures that inhabit it. After initial failures, a hope appears, and it is embodied by a new generation of genetically modified humans the roles of whom are assumed by the players. Project Genom emphasizes dynamic action; as for the mechanics, they resemble typical TPP shooters. As befits an MMORPG, the game features a complex character development system - one's character can be developed in any way the player finds suitable; then the player can participate in PvE missions and PvP encounters against other users.

Another installment in the action-adventure game series about two strange aliens – ToeJam and Big Earl. During their interstellar journeys, their ship crash-lands on a nearby planet, which turns out to be Earth. The heroes and their friends (on some rare occasions you will also control Peabo and Lewanda) need to find replacement parts for their vessel in order to go home. Similarly to the first part of the game, ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove presents the action from the isometric point of view. The mechanics consists of free exploration, fighting ridiculous enemies, and playing funny minigames. During the game, the heroes come across mysterious presents which can either help or harm – the only way to find out is to open them. Co-op is surely an asset – each adventure can be played solo or with up to three other players. All of this is complemented by great visuals – the world and the characters seem like they were cut out from paper, and the depth is intensified by the 3D perspective. The pleasurable soundtrack is inspired by music trends of the 90s.

2D platform game, which combines several art styles in a unique fashion. A Pixel Story is set within a computer, which falls under the control of the villainous Evil OS. It soon turns out that the only piece of software able to stop him is the game’s protagonist – a small white man, known as The Chosen One. Equipped only with his Magic Hat he sets out on a journey across various regions in order to put an end to the tyrant’s rule. The classic platforming gameplay is enriched by the aforementioned hat – the hero can drop it wherever he wants and then teleport himself to the hat’s location. This mechanic allows him to reach inaccessible places and solve many puzzles. Although A Pixel Story does not feature any opponents to battle, each level is filled with various traps and death can come at any time. Another interesting innovation is the artwork. You start the adventure in a pixellated 8-bit reality, but as you progress the world becomes more and more detailed.

Similarly as in its predecessors, the action of the game takes place on the planet Pandora, featuring a post-apocalyptic setting. During the game player controls a four-person squad that consists of characters known from first Borderlands game. Each character has unique abilities and specializes in different type of firearm. The player’s arsenal oncludes shotguns, assault rifles, machine guns, and sniper rifles. The gameplay combines the elements of action games and RPGs with a strong focus placed on the former. Both main and side missions consist of traveling through the levels and eliminating large numbers of enemies. Among the latter there are gangs, mutated animals, and, from time to time, some stronger bosses. Between the missions player must manage his team – develop character abilities, buy new weapons and equipment etc. Due to the gaming platforms on which the game was released and due to the gameplay type, the action is shown in an isometric perspective.

He will also encounter hostile natives and aggressive creatures that will try to hunt him down. The game has a rather high difficulty level. In order to achieve success, we will have to rely on our reflexes, agility, and calmness. We will also have to master the controls. 50 Pinch Barrage!! has a rather simple, ascetic visuals that bring to mind games from the late 1980's.

Since there are no clear instructions, you have to discover the mechanics and construction of the land on your own. This knowledge becomes useful when you have to overcome increasingly more difficult obstacles. Rememoried features attractive surreal visuals, usually in black and white. For better immersion the game utilizes a first-person view.
