Another installment in the action-adventure game series about two strange aliens – ToeJam and Big Earl. During their interstellar journeys, their ship crash-lands on a nearby planet, which turns out to be Earth. The heroes and their friends (on some rare occasions you will also control Peabo and Lewanda) need to find replacement parts for their vessel in order to go home. Similarly to the first part of the game, ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove presents the action from the isometric point of view. The mechanics consists of free exploration, fighting ridiculous enemies, and playing funny minigames. During the game, the heroes come across mysterious presents which can either help or harm – the only way to find out is to open them. Co-op is surely an asset – each adventure can be played solo or with up to three other players. All of this is complemented by great visuals – the world and the characters seem like they were cut out from paper, and the depth is intensified by the 3D perspective. The pleasurable soundtrack is inspired by music trends of the 90s.

That’s because gameplay comes down to rivalry of two 5-men teams, with each team member being represented by a real player. We create our own football player and then develop his individual skills through training between matches. Game focuses on typical soccer competition, either in form of single matches or tourneys with increasing difficulty. We can play in a few various modes, like classic matches, team challenges or duels with power-ups appearing on a pitch. Matches in Korner 5 are presented in form known from the biggest football series like FIFA or Pro Evolution Soccer, though in visibly less serious manner.

The key to success consists in manual abilities of the players and skillful avoiding of enemies’ attacks. The unusual use of respawns is the title’s most original element. Every move during gameplay is recorded and then used for creating special clones that reflect players’ combat tactics. If you die, the clones join the battle along your side. Various heroes have different sets of abilities and can use a wide variety of weapons. In addition to that, by playing the game skillfully one fills a Resonance bar that allows the player to perform a special attack, ending with a QTE sequence. Among the playable characters there are heroes known from the previous installments of Dynasty Warriors. The graphics of the game are similar to the main series as well, but the action is shown from a top-down perspective.

The Order 99 is a first-person action game held in the convention of survival horror, developed as the debut production of Burning Arrow, in cooperation with a somewhat more experienced studio, Deck 13. The events take place on a hostile isle near Scotland. The players control a character who wakes up amidst these unfriendly circumstances, having absolutely no information about the place or the reason for being there. The only thing that the protagonist carries is a short note, suggesting an escape route from the island. The core of the gameplay is exploration, during which the players learn the gloomy story of the island and gather resources that help them survive (such as food, weapon elements). There is a lot of freedom in the game, however the priorities of the player are not always in line with those of other inhabitants. In order to solve the mystery of the island, the player will have to make a series of moral choices, and interact with the people he encounters, which will allow him to obtain useful information.

Another installment in the popular casual series created by King.com. It is a direct sequel to Farm Heroes Saga that was released in 2013. This time the player is tasked with stopping the evil Rancid who obtained the supercropsies and uses them to achieve his villainous goals. The story of the game is just an excuse for the actual gameplay which in Farm Heroes Super Saga is based on the rules of the match-3 genre. It is a light logic game in which the gameplay focuses on moving colorful vegetables and fruits in order to combine them into vertical and horizontal lines consisting of at least three similar pieces. This removes them from the map and gives points to the player. It also allows for completion of various side missions. From time to time the player will face a challenging boss as well. Various power-ups make the game more interesting. They make it easier to complete levels and obtain more and more points.

A third-person perspective exploration game about death and loneliness. It was developed by an independent developer who also created Home is Where one Starts. In The First Tree, the player follows two distinctly different characters: a female fox that is looking for her lost kids, and a pair of humans facing death of their closest ones. When controlling the fox, the player is traveling in search for the titular tree that hides the answer to the question about the source of life and the meaning of death. After some time, the player discovers the connection between the story of the animal and the humans. During most of the time the player is traveling through three-dimensional locations, discovering important places and finding items. The gameplay contains platform game sequences in which the protagonist must run and jump from one place to another. The First Tree can be completed in about two hours, although it depends on the player how much will they discover during that time. The title employs colorful, slightly comic book-like graphics.

Arcade, 2D, Auto-runner, Platformers, Singleplayer.

A two-dimensional retro platformer game which is available free of charge on mobile platforms. The advertisements that are present in-game can be switched off with a single micropayment. In Magic Mansion, we assume the role of a character that tries to reach the top of a grand tower. The production offers a considerable set of various heroes, many of whom come from previous games from Nitrome. The character we control moves forward automatically, and the controls are limited to jumping, triggered by tapping the screen. We have to wait for the right moment to jump so that we can overcome obstacles and defeat enemies. The change of direction occurs when we hit a safe obstacle. Magic Mansion is an endless runner, which means that the game has no end — the subsequent levels are generated automatically and our goal is to break records, both the ones we set as well as those set by other players. On our way, we also collect coins that let us continue playing from the very same spot, should we make a mistake, instead of starting from the beginning. Magic Mansion features two-dimensional, black and white retro graphics.

A mobile free-to-play economic strategy with comedy elements. Con Man: The Game bases on a license of Con Man, an internet series created by Alan Tudyk. The title makes fun of science-fiction movie genre. We assume the role of a Wray Nerely, a star of a cancelled series, who despite the loyal following from his fans doesn’t receive any new casting proposals. For a change, his friend from the set – Jack Moore makes a great movie career. In Con Man: The Game our task is to organize fan conventions that are frequented by the character from fictional series and movies, among them Wray Nerely and Jack Moore. The game includes a number of other plot threads and characters from Alan Tudyk’s series. The con has to be prepared – by inviting celebrities, setting up thematic stalls, summoning cosplayers, and so on – then making sure that it all runs smoothly. As a reward for our troubles, we gain new fans, and receive money needed to organize even more conventions. The game features a distinct satirical vibe, and fantasy fans will find a lot of tidbits and funny references.
