A unique first-person action game, developed by Bullfrog, that can be described as an arcade simulator of the eponymous flying furniture. Its story is set in a fantasy world inhabited by many mythical creatures, with us taking the role of a young wizard, who, after the death of his mentor, decides to follow in his footsteps. The objective of the game is to gather enough magical energy to bring back peace to the lands ravaged by internal conflicts of mages. During each mission we are given our own castle and a unique means of transport in the form of a flying carpet. The gameplay takes place in fully three-dimensional environment and concentrates on fighting enemies by using 20 different offensive and defensive spells. There are also some supporting incantations, e.g. summoning an army of skeletons or teleporting back to our stronghold to regain energy.

A cyberpunk action-adventure FPP game developed by Looking Glass Technologies under the lead of a game video industry veteran, Paul Neurath. You play as an experienced hacker who gets forcefully hospitalized and has a special implant injected into his neural system. After waking up from coma the protagonist discovers that all personnel of the medical station were slaughtered and the compound was taken over by an intelligent computer called Shodan. Easy to guess, the hero has to face the powerful digital enemy. In terms of gameplay mechanics, System Shock combines features of a typical first-person shooter, with loads of firearms, and elements of RPG and adventure game. Hence, as you play, you get to gradually develop your character’s skills and solve numerous puzzles, which are usually about finding access codes to the next section of the station.

A continuation of the 1993's bestselling FPP shooter, once again developed by the experienced creators from id Software. Action takes place after events of the first part, when our hero, after having defeated alien hosts on Mars, returns home with an intention of ending his military career. It soon becomes clear, however, that the legions of hell were not completely defeated as they reach the Earth and launch a successful invasion. The task of a group of survivors (led by the player) is to hijack an alien spacecraft, allowing them to escape their home world in search of a new, better home. Doom II: Hell on Earth features all the key elements of its classic predecessor and introduces some novelties, such as brand new weapons and greatly expanded bestiary. With engine tweaks and more detailed textures, the game's visuals are noticeably better than in the original.
