Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary is the fifth add-on to the 2012 edition of Borderlands 2 - a postapocalyptic FPS shooter with RPG elements from Gearbox Software. Add-on is a feature connection between the second and third part of the cycle.
Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary tells about another crisis on Pandora - a map of crypts has been stolen, the Sanctuary is under attack and a dangerous gas poisons the entire planet. The player again takes on the role of one of the heroes of the basic version of the game and together with Lilith and the organization Crimson Raiders becomes a fight against a new enemy, who is responsible for all these misfortunes.
Borderlands 2 Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary as well as the basic version of the game, is a first-person looter shooter. Guided by one of the available character classes, players explore maps, perform various tasks, fight hordes of enemies with a large arsenal of firearms and gain better and better equipment and skills. Borderlands 2 Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary increases the maximum level that can be gained during an adventure to 80. It also introduces a new, even higher level of rare items and a few other innovations.
Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary has a distinctive cel-shading visual setting. Production runs on Unreal Engine from Epic Games studio.
For the first month after the announcement the DLC was available for free to all owners of the basic version of the game.
