A roguelite production with gambling elements, developed by the indie studio Panik Arcade and partially inspired by Balatro. In CloverPit we end up in a dark and claustrophobic cell. We can keep using a one-armed bandit gambling machine to pay our rising debt, balancing between strategy and luck.
CloverPit is a three-dimensional strategy game that combines mechanics known from Balatro with the aesthetics of an escape room and a psychological horror. The production offers gameplay based on challenges, collecting charms, and synergy between items, all maintained in a psychedelic, unsettling atmosphere. It was produced by the independent Italian studio Panik Arcade.
The gameplay in CloverPit is based on the mechanics of a one-armed bandit, which is the central point of the entire game. We buy spins, start the machine and use the received funds to pay off the constantly growing debt.
The key role here is played by a system of over 150 items and charms, which affect the probability of winnings, the value of payouts, and create extensive synergies. Thanks to this, the gameplay takes on a strategic character, and the right combinations allow for the creation of powerful connections.
Additionally, the game offers elements of meta-progression - unlocking new perks, modes, and alternative endings. The whole is enriched by elements of psychological horror, such as increasing time pressure, claustrophobic surroundings, and disturbing audiovisual setting, which together builds tension and a unique gameplay atmosphere.
In addition to the main campaign, there is also an endless game mode available, in which we can beat records and test our strategies without any limitations.

ZdobywcyGier.eu: 8.5 / 10 by Bartosz Michalik
CloverPit is an exceptionally interesting title. On the one hand, it offers a lot of content, solid replayability, and can be much more addictive than we might expect. On the other hand, no matter how hard we try to strategize, the gameplay is practically always the same, which makes it terribly tedious and repetitive at times. Still, it's hard to put down. CloverPit has something about it that constantly encourages you to keep coming back and trying again.

Like any good slot machine, this game’s a gamble—fun if you’re here for quick spins and rogue-lite flair, but don’t expect to hit the jackpot if you’re chasing a story, because while there is one, you're better off just staying at the slots and making that number go up.
DualShockers: 9 / 10
The only real nitpick I could offer is that the descriptions of some of the charms are a little dense and percentage-heavy, but that becomes progressively less of a problem as you play the game and pick up more of what it’s putting down. Frankly, it’s a wonder I was even able to put it down long enough to write this, and I’m gonna go start another run as soon as I’m done. The first step is admitting you have a problem, and the second step is pulling the dang lever again.
