A sandbox extreme winter sports simulation game by Ubisoft, set in faithfully recreated regions of the Alps and Alaska, divided into several open-world sectors. There you can go skiing or snowboarding, or even take to the skies with a paraglider or a wingsuit. The gameplay is purely arcade-like, so you need to both ride fast and execute spectacular tricks. During the game you can try to beat a wide range of challenges such as time trials or stunts. Steep also places emphasis on the social aspect, thanks to which you can create your own challenges and make them available to other players. The system is complemented by online rankings, although you can forego the rivalry and simply enjoy the wintry landscapes.

Steep: Road to the Olympics is the first expansion for Steep, a winter sports simulator developed by Ubisoft. The DLC, created in cooperation with the International Olympic Committee, allows the players to try themselves in various winter sports, like Alpine skiing, snowboard cross, slopestyle, skicross, halfpipe, giant slalom, super giant slalom, or big air. Gameplay mechanics remain the same as in the base game. We will encounter both A.I.- and player-controlled characters as we play and take part in challenges created by the latter ones. Competition between the players (online rankings) and doing quests located all around the world still play an important role in the game. Developers created brand-new Japanese and North Korean locations for the DLC.

Energy Hook is a 3D arcade game developed by Happion Labs that takes place in an unspecified future. The titular Energy Hook is a mechanical device that looks like a glove and fires a beam of energy that sticks to the hit object like a rope. Initially used on construction sites, the device soon began to be used by the youth in crazy competitions of flying between skyscrapers. Participants would get points for speed, style, and acrobatics. We play as a girl named Delilah who once was one of the best competitors in such races but decided to focus on raising her child. When her daughter got sick she decided to come back to her old life in order to make money for medications. During her absence, the sport had changed, forcing Delilah to learn everything from scratch.

The fifth major installment in one of the most popular skateboarding game series, returning after a long hiatus thanks to Robomodo – the authors of RIDE, SHRED, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD. The game takes the series back to its roots, featuring similar gameplay model. Just as in the original, players get a series of missions and challenges to complete in one of several in-game locations. The main highlights of Infinite Air with Mark McMorris are: realism, open world, considerable freedom, and social features. In the game, we are taken to a vast, procedurally generated environment that spans over an area of 100 square miles. We can go to any spot of our choosing thanks to a helicopter. Having started, we can freely explore and complete slopes or master new tricks. All these things we do under the supervision of famous professionals such as Craig McMorris, Silje Norendal, Torstein Horgmo, Danny Davis, and Ulrik Badertscher. The title uses a realistic analog control model that recreates actual movements of a snowboarder. In the game, we can play solo or in various multiplayer modes. Moreover, we can create our own snowboarding parks and share them with the community.
