Action games. Wide category of games that require reflex, accuracy and agility. It includes, among other things, shooters (e.g. Call of Duty and Battlefield series) and action-adventure games (Tomb Raider). First and third person perspective (FPP/TPP) is used. In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Such titles put less emphasis on action and combat, focusing more on story, exploration and puzzles.

An oldschool shooter game utilizing a top-down point of view, developed by Korean studio Neople Games. The game is set in an unspecified future, after the Alliance defeated the malevolent Kraken organization. Rumor has it that the group was not entirely destroyed and is currently preparing for another invasion. The protagonist, Leo, is a secret agent, who is sent to the former Kraken base in the Arctic to determine if the rumors are true.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - Sabotage

The first official expansion for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, which was first delivered to PlayStation 4 owners, with other platforms following a little bit later. This DLC pack offers four new maps for multiplayer gameplay (Noir, Neon, Renaissance, Dominion) as well as a new episode for the zombie co-op mini-campaign: Rave in the Redwoods, set in a wood camp inspired by horror movies of the 90s.

An online FPS created by a South-Korean studio known as Black Spot Entertainment. The game is set after the Second World War, but the conflict actually has not ended. Genetically modified soldiers created by Dr Geiger are fighting their American equivalents. Both the sides of the conflict are trying to find the so-called Alpha Child - a being without any genetic flaws, that is the pinnacle of Geiger's achievement.

The fourth installment in the legendary beat ‘em up series, developed by Arc System Works. The development was supported by the persons responsible for the cult-classic previous installments of the series, including Takaomi Kaneko, Yoshihisa Kishimoto, Koji Ogata, and Kazunaka Yamane. Similarly to the previous installments of the Double Dragon series, the gameplay focuses on traversing 2D locations and eliminating hordes of approaching opponents.

We play as the titular snail who ends up in a mysterious world at the bottom of the ocean. When the evil crab Hermitron, aided by the bureaucrat Harold, prepares himself to take over the underwater land, it is our job to help the citizens of Coral Kingdom in bringing back peace and order. Snailboy: Rise of Hermitron is a typical side-scrolling platformer.

A standalone free-to-play action game which initially was part of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. In Deus Ex: Breach, we assume the role of a Ripper, a hacker whose task is to retrieve classified information on the biggest corporations of the Deus Ex universe. Mechanics-wise, the production resembles a first-person shooter set in cyberspace. Every server we break into is a visually different location, densely filled with various enemies and security measures.

Subsequent parts of this long-standing series concentrate on a battle the humanity wages against a deadly virus which transforms those it infects into bloodthirsty monsters. The players accompany several characters who appeared in various installments of Resident Evil over the years as well as in many side installments.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle

A classic beat'em up game developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is based on the license of the Power Rangers TV series popular back in 1990s. The titular teenagers are the characters the players assume control of in the game, supported by mysterious Zordon. The heroes have to face the forces of evil represented by the ominous Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd - they want to destroy the Earth and try to achieve it by sending in more and more powerful monsters.

A continuation of a third-person perspective action game from Sony, which was originally released in 2012 (in Japan known as Gravity Daze) as one of the first exclusive titles for PS Vita. Four years later a remastered version of the title was published on PlayStation 4. The action of Gravity Rush 2 is set in the same setting as the first installment. The inhabitants of a retro-futuristic metropolis once again have to face a powerful gravity storm.

The player is taken to Gamearth, a planet which fell victim to space invaders who call themselves Nexgen. Rise is the only hope the inhabitants of Gamearth have - he is an 11-year-old boy equipped with a holy artifact - a pistol known as Shine.
99Vidas

Developed by the independent developer QUByte Interactive, 99Vidas is a conventional 2D beat'em up game. The titular 99Vidas is an incredibly powerful artifact, which was stolen by the Evil Boss. The main characters are fighters trained to guard the artifact - their goal is to defeat the adversary along with the six allies of his, apart from retrieving the item before it gets used for evil purposes. As all the other brawlers in general, the game is played from a side view.
Wild Guns: Reloaded

An extensive remake of Wild Guns, a classical action game that was initially released in 1994 for SNES. It was developed by Natsume in cooperation with the creators of the original. The game’s plot combines elements of western with science fiction and cyberpunk and tells the story of two protagonists: a girl named Annie, who wishes to take revenge on the Kid’s gang, and a bounty hunter, Clint, helping her. Mechanics-wise, it is a combination of arcade rail shooter and a third-person action game.
Akiba's Beat

An action game developed by Japanese studio Aquire. Gameplay mechanics of Akiba’s Beat are similar to the previous production of the developer – Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed. It combines RPG, beat’em up and visual novel features. The second installment of the series once again takes place in one of the most famous districts of Tokyo – Akihabara. The citizens of the district are caught in a time loop due to which they are endlessly repeating one day.
Space Hulk: Deathwing

One of several video games based on Space Hulk - a board game created by Games Workshop and set in the world of Warhammer 40,000. In the case of Space Hulk: Deathwing, the players receive a fast-paced first-person shooter created as a result of the cooperation between Cyanide (the Blood Bowl series) and Streum On Studio (E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy). The player is put in the shoes of the titular Deathwing squad's member.

Galaxy on Fire 3: Manticore

Another full-fledged installment in a series of popular space shooter games developed by Fishlabs Entertainment. In terms of the mechanics, this iteration does not bring any revolutionary features and remains similar to its predecessors in many aspects. Galaxy on Fire 3: Manticore is first and foremost a third-person space shooter taking the player to the Neox sector - where they become a bounty hunter and their role is to complete subsequent assignments for adequate rewards.
ROM: Extraction

A first-person shooter set in a science fiction world, developed by First Contact Entertainment studio for VR devices. The story of ROM: Extraction takes place in 2076, with the player taking control of a member of Orb Extraction Unit. Their objective is to guard aliens’ eggs while they are being escorted to Earth. Gameplay focuses on fast-paced battles against aliens, during which players must survive for several minutes and fend off incoming waves of enemies.
SUPERHOT VR

A special edition of the unusual Polish game, SUPERHOT, developed specifically for virtual reality devices and dedicated movement controllers. The game’s most prominent feature (same as in the original) is the fact that in SUPERHOT VR, time flows only when the player moves. Contrary to the original, however, the player cannot move freely around the environment; instead, they are teleported to another section of the level after clearing the current section of all enemies.
Dead Rising 4

The fourth installment in a series of zombie-themed, third-person action games developed by Capcom. The story campaign brings a continuation to the storylines presented in the first installment. The player assumes the role of Frank West (appeared first in the original game) - a photographer trapped in a town overrun by hordes of zombies. During the Christmas period, he has to somehow survive through a period of several days, waiting for help to arrive.
Star Wars: Battlefront - Rogue One

The fourth expansion to Star Wars: Battlefront, a title developed by EA DICE. This is the final expansion included om the season pass and its debut was synchronized with the premiere of the movie “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”. The gameplay mechanics doesn’t differ from what was presented in the basic version of the game – the DLC introduces new multiplayer maps, additional heroes and it expands the weapon list with one new tool.
Star Wars: Battlefront - Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission

A free expansion for Star Wars: Battlefront, available only on PS4 with PlayStation VR. In contrast to the basic version of the game, X-Wing VR Mission is not a shooter in which the player controls various characters. Instead, the DLC the player takes control of the titular starfighter and participates in a large-scale space battle. A space destroyer, among other spacecrafts, also participates in the battle. The player must not only control the vehicle, but shoot various opponents as well.
