LEGO Voyagers is a coop arcade game for two people, in which we control small LEGO bricks. The development of the title was handled by Light Brick Studio, the creators of LEGO Builder’s Journey.

Gameplay

Both players control small bricks, flipping, jumping, and also building the path by connecting other elements together. In the world of bricks for two little heroes, even climbing the stairs is a challenge.

The gameplay in LEGO Voyagers focuses on simple platform puzzles. To overcome the abyss, we need to construct a catapult to launch one of the players to the other side. There is also no shortage of driveable vehicles, motorboats we can sail, and unstable space rockets we can use to fly.

Checkpoint Gaming: 8 / 10

LEGO Voyagers is a simple adventure co-op game that features a straightforward story that will tug at your emotions. It doesn’t hold your hand, and you and your friend are required to work together to complete this simple game. It executes the “show-don’t-tell” very well. While it does lack the opportunity for expansive exploration, it’s the type of game that makes you want to relax and see how far creativity and teamwork will take you.

TheXboxHub: 4 / 5

LEGO Voyagers sets many foundational bricks that could be used by LEGO titles for years to come, be it the refreshing take on gameplay, reflective show-not-tell narrative told in wonder filled environments, or simple co-op fun.

Nintendo Life: 6 / 10 by Nathan Ellingsworth

While I adored Lego Voyagers' visual style and emotive design of the main bricks, I often found the actual puzzles underwhelming, and the game ended just as they started to get interesting. If you ever find this on sale and want to just enjoy an evening with someone, this is a clever little co-op adventure with surprisingly touching themes. But when it comes to the difficulty of the main puzzles and the amount of content on offer, Lego Voyagers feels a few bricks short of a full set.
