ArmA Video Game Series

A series of tactical TPP/FPP shooters, with clearly outlined simulation elements. The brand is developed by Czech studio Bohemia Interactive.

The first game in the series - ArmA: Armed Assault - was released in 2006 as a "spiritual successor" to the bestselling Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis. The title was warmly received by fans of the genre, who praised the mechanics, credible storyline and visuals. Its success was repeated three years later, with the release of the second part of the series - ArmA II, powered by the third-generation Real Virtuality engine. In 2011, the series received its first spin-off, the game Arma: Cold War Assault, which is a refreshed version of the aforementioned game Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis. Two years later, another side project followed in its footsteps, a turn-based strategy game titled Arma Tactics, prepared primarily with mobile devices in mind. Nevertheless, in 2013, the full-fledged third part of the series also saw the light of day, namely. Arma III, the action of which was set in the near future, and the title itself ran on the fourth generation of the Real Virtuality engine. After three years, the brand returned to mobile devices with the game Arma Mobile Ops; this time the authors gave us an RTS in the style of the hit Clash of Clans. In 2023, another spin-off saw the light of day, namely. Arma Reforger. The latter was a kind of test of a brand new, proprietary technology - Enfusion - which was also to drive the full-fledged fourth part of the series.
