Samurai Warriors 5 is the fifth installment of the slasher series started in 2004, enriched with tactical elements. The game was developed by Omega Force, the studio taking care of the series, and Koei Tecmo is the publisher.

Plot

Samurai Warriors 5 is set in Japan during the Sengoku period, right after the end of the Onin War, which began in 1467 and lasted until 1477. The story is told from the perspective of two great commanders of the era, Nobunaga Oda and Mitsuhide Akechi.
