Compared to earlier titles from said franchise, the game stands out due to slightly different set of characters to choose from. Aside from well-known characters, the roster also includes fighters borrowed from the Street Fighter series. The crucial task for the creators of Tekken X Street Fighter was adapting the guest warriors' models, move sets, fighting styles, and special attacks to Tekken’s setting and the game's arenas, which are fully three-dimensional.
