Leaders of other civilizations also have more extensive personalities that are influenced both by their history and the current geopolitical situation. Other mechanics were also altered. In Rising Tide, we aren’t limited to three doctrines from the vanilla game anymore. Instead, we can combine ideologies into a kind of hybrids that give us access to new units, among other things. The artifact system was revamped, as well. Now, we gather and bind together the remains of alien civilizations.

Moreover, Rising Tide for PC comes with two new bioms – one of the is a primitive world, still undergoing formation, shaken by volcanic activity. The developers also implemented four new factions. These include, among others, Al Falah, founded by nomads that come from the Middle East.
