The 27th major installment in one of the most popular sport game series dedicated to American football, began in 1989 by Electronic Arts. As always, we are looking at a realistic football simulator with a famed Career mode, allowing us to lead a promising team through the subsequent steps of football hierarchy. The new edition introduces Draft, a new mode, numerous fixes to Connected Franchise, more life-like quarterbacks, improvements to mid-air play, as well as further expansions of the Ultimate Team mode. In case of seventh generation consoles (X360 and PS3 versions) the game is powered by Impact, an engine used in some of the previous installments for that generation, while next-gen consoles received a new engine – Ignite. Both variants received numerous fixes and improvements, such as more spectacular coverage of our most spectacular actions.

We are also responsible for the development of the club’s infrastructure: building stadium improvements, club center, offices, youngling schools, scouting agency, fan-club headquarters, medical center, or training fields. When it comes to graphics, the game employs a three-dimensional match engine, known from previous major installments of the series.

Another new feature is derived from the Scotland Rugby Sevens mode, in which competing teams are composed not of 15, but of 7 players. The game features high-quality graphic design and realistic player models, as well as a professional match commentary.

The game was created by a Finnish programmer Jussi Koskela and expands the concepts of the previous iterations, introducing several significant novelties at the same time. Deluxe Ski Jump 4 offers a wide set of game modes - single competitions and entire seasons, apart from the multiplayer rivalry. Participating in a session involves the necessity to go through qualifications. Many factors influence one's performance here, including the wind (its force and direction change) and dynamic weather conditions (rain, snow, fog). Both the in-game physics and character animations were substantially improved, apart from the game's visuals. DSJ 4 can be played from several different camera angles and a large emphasis was placed on recreating the infrastructures for jumps and adding cheering fans. Additionally, the player can take part in competitions at different times of day, also with the use of artificial lighting.

Another entry in a fighting games series, very popular in Japan. The thing that distinguishes Fire Pro Wrestling World from other wrestling games are the game mechanics. Action is presented from an isometric point of view and almost every element of the gameplay can be adjusted to suit our preferences. This is mainly connected with the wrestlers – in the beginning we get 30 fighters, but we can also create our own wrestlers by choosing not only their appearance but also their preferred moves (we can choose from more than 2000 attacks) and even a script that is responsible for their behavior. Additionally, we can also customize the referee that oversees fights and arenas – we can, e.g. put an electric fence or a mine field between fighters and audience. Besides classic fights we can also participate in online matches that can be played by up to four players. Fire Pro Wrestling World features somewhat cartoonish 2D graphics.
