PS3 PSV

Super Heroine Chronicle, released on PS3 and PSV, is a proposal of Namco Bandai and Banpresto development studio addressed to fans of anime and jRPG games with turn-based tactical combat system. The title is in line with the popular mash-up trend - combining elements (e.g. characters) derived from separate universes.

Plot

The action of Super Heroine Chronicle takes place in the Akihabara school protected by a huge dome. Its students are in great danger. The extraordinary situation requires the heroines, endowed with superhuman powers, who had little in common so far, to join forces.

Super Heroine Chronicle features a whole plethora of characters well known to fans of manga and anime productions: Red Angel and Blue Angel (Kaito Tenshi Twin Angel), Koto (Kyousogiga), Di Gi Charat (Di Gi Charat), Hibiki Tachibana (Swan Song of the Valkyries: Symphogear), Super Sonico (Super Sonico), Rena Ryugu (Higurashi When They Cry), Aria H. Kanzaki (Aria the Scarlet Ammo), Houki Shinonono (Infinite Stratos), Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallie (The Familiar of Zero F) and Rem Ayanokouji (Dream Hunter Rem). They are also accompanied by completely new heroes such as Meru Ransheru, Noel Kazamatsuri or Claude.

Mechanics

The gameplay is based on classic turn-based jRPG games. The basis of the game are battles with various types of opponents, requiring the player's tactical sense, as well as the proper use of the specific powers. In addition, it is possible to combine attacks into combinations to increase their effectiveness or to trigger special effects.

Technical aspects

Visually, the game is stylized to look like anime. The characters were designed by renowned artists: Shinichiro Otsuka ( Blue Roses, Eternal Poison), Satoshi Urushihara ( Growlanser) and Tor Minazuki (To Heart).
