The Elder Scrolls: Legends is a PC-based, PS4, etc. strategy card game, embedded in the universe of the cult RPG series, launched in 1994 on personal computers. The title is available in a free-to-play model, and its creation is the responsibility of Bethesda's in-house development studio, i.e. the authors of all previous editions of the series, including The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, released in 2014 MMORPG.
The mechanics of The Elder Scrolls: Legends is fundamentally similar to other popular card games like Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft by Blizzard, for which Bethesda's production was supposed to be in direct competition. The main difference is that the game combines elements of plot and characters, known from the subsequent installments of The Elder Scrolls series, such as Morrowind, Oblivion or Skyrim, as well as the online The Elder Scrolls Online, which gives the game a unique character.
While playing, players build their decks of cards from heroes of different races, such as the Nordes, Orcs, Khai, Dark Elves or Argonians, and take part in subsequent battles with artificial intelligence or other players. The main goal of the game is to eliminate the opponent by taking away all life points from him. This can be achieved directly by attacking him with the available cards, or indirectly by killing his units in two lines on the table. As the game progresses, we expand your deck, adjusting it to your individual style of play.
The Elder Scrolls: Legends is distinguished by several elements from the competition. First of all, we have more cards in the deck (50 to 70). Secondly, the games are a little longer than Hearthstonie, and the introduced mechanics of scoring extra cards during the loss of life points effectively blocks fast decks, aimed at winning in the first few turns. The most striking difference, however, is the division of the board into two independent rows; in addition, the cards on the right-hand row are temporarily shielded from attacks, which changes the approach to the creation of creatures and forces a more tactical approach to gameplay.
Like most collectible card games, The Elder Scrolls: Legends focuses on multiplayer battles that can take place in battle mode or arena. However, for those who prefer lonely gameplay, there is also an extensive feature campaign, in which we are fighting with opponents led by a computerized SI.
Released on the PC platform, PS4, etc. The Elder Scrolls: Legends features a refined, fully three-dimensional graphic design, maintained in a fantasy atmosphere, well known to all fans of the Bethesda series. The control model used in the game has been developed in such a way as to work equally well on traditional mice and touch screens of mobile devices.
