The Talos Principle 2

The Talos Principle 2 is a first-person sci-fi puzzle game. It was developed by Croteam, the developers of the first game and of the Serious Sam series.

Plot

The game is set in the distant future, long after humanity went extinct. It culture was, regardless, preserved in a city inhabited by robots, one of which is the playable character. The campaign tasks the player with investigating a mysterious megastructure.

Just like the previous installment, the game's storyline is highly complex and addresses serious philosophical issues, such as the point of civilization's existence or the nature of the universe.

Mechanics

The Talos Principle 2 is a puzzle game supporting both first-person and third-person perspective. The gameplay thus revolves around exploration and solving clever puzzles.

These are very diverse, ranging from operating machines to controlling gravity and transferring our consciousness to other robots.

Some puzzles aren't mandatory to complete the game, serving as optional challenges for those who really want to put their brain to a test.

Game modes

The game only supports singleplayer.

Technical aspects

The Talos Principle 2 features high-quality visuals, their main appeal being cleverly designed locations. The soundtrack was composed by returning composer Damjan Mravunac, as well as Chris Christodoulou (known for the Risk of Rain series).
