TRON: Catalyst is an action-adventure game set in the science fiction universe created for the TRON film series. The game was developed by Bithell Games studio, which has in its portfolio such projects as Thomas Was Alone, Volume, John Wick Hex, and The Solitaire Conspiracy.
In TRON: Catalyst we watch the action in an isometric view.
We can explore the Arq network (known from the game Tron: Identity) on foot or on a Light Cycle. Along the way, we meet the characters (or rather - programs) inhabiting it and perform various quests, gradually uncovering the secrets of this place and pushing the plot forward.
During exploration, the unique ability of the main character plays a crucial role. Due to a Glitch, the Arq network becomes destabilized and gets stuck in a time loop, which the protagonist can use to their advantage, gaining access to secret areas and unlocking useful shortcuts. Skillful use of the chaos caused by the Glitch also allows him to gain the favor of individual factions.
Fighting opponents also plays an important role in the game. The clashes are dynamic, and during them we can engage in both close combat duels and eliminate enemies from a distance. Our main weapon is the Identity Disc. As we progress, we gather fragments of data, which help us develop the protagonist.
The main character of TRON: Catalyst is a courier named Exo, working in the capital of the Arq network. When one of the packages he delivers explodes, he gains powers that other programs can only dream of. Because of this, he quickly finds himself in the crosshairs of the "mediators" who maintain order here, especially an application known as Conn, which becomes his main enemy. In the background, there is a struggle for control over the Arq network, fought by various factions.
The graphic design of TRON: Catalyst was maintained in the style characteristic of the TRON brand, and consequently - the movies and earlier games under this banner. The Arq network is thus illuminated by the glow of neon lights that permeate its entire structure - from architecture, through character costumes, to light cycles.

Game Ratings for TRON: Catalyst Video Game.
PlayStation Universe: 6 / 10 by Garri Bagdasarov
Tron: Catalyst did a great job of making me feel I was part of the Tron Universe, but it did a poor job of keeping me engaged. The characters, music, and voice work were great, but the combat became repetitive in the first hour, and the exploration didn't offer anything engaging to look forward to. For Tron fans, Catalyst is a no-brainer. For everyone else, it won't make you love or hate Tron more or less than you do now.
Thumb Wars: 3 / 5 by Luke Addison
TRON: Catalyst is a shorter experience from a AA developer well-versed with the TRON IP, and while the world is incredibly well represented, the thin combat system, 2D characters, and paint-by-numbers story won’t light a fire under any fans to get involved.
Paste Magazine: 7.5 / 10 by Dia Lacina
For all the incredibly talented work on display, Catalyst ends up a game that can’t quite figure out how to fill its own space, and still chafes against the lack of room to full render. But goddamn does racing a lightcycle on the streets in defiance of Core feel good.
