Vokabulantis PC

Vokabulantis is a platform game with numerous adventure game elements, which was developed using stop-motion animation and photogrammetry techniques. The game is a result of cooperation between Kong Orange studio ( known for Felix The Reaper) and Wired Fly company.

Plot

The main characters of Vokabulantis are Karla and Kurt, who are in love with each other. We meet young protagonists when, in order to profess their love, they notice that their mouths have been removed. Soon after, our protagonists literally sink into the ground and find themselves in the titular, desolate world. To find a way out, they will have to stay together and cooperate at all costs.

Mechanics

Vokabulantis is a side-scroller. While exploring diverse, atmospheric locations, we have to avoid traps, jump on platforms and climb on elements of the environment. Often, in order to move the story forward, we also have to solve ingenious puzzles involving the manipulation of objects and structures encountered along the way. It is worth remembering that the protagonists are slightly different from each other. While Karla is athletic and brave, Kurt is a quiet intellectual. As you progress, the game reveals new mechanics that the authors believe reflect the emotions of the characters.

Game length

Completion of Vokabulantis is a 6-8 hour task. Finding all the secrets that are hidden in this game should take 2 to 4 hours longer.

Game modes

Vokabulantis was developed primarily for co-op mode. The game also allows for single player gameplay.

Technical aspects

A strength of the Vokabulantis game is the graphic design. All of its elements were made by hand and transferred to the virtual world with the help of photogrammetry technique. We are talking about both the elements of the environment and the stop-motion animated heroes and characters they meet.
