The item sold well (in November 2011 it was reported that more than one million copies had hit the stores), received a warm reception (according to the Metacritic website, the average ratings given to it by industry media ranged from 70-76/100, depending on the platform) and won a group of devoted fans. Nevertheless, the latter had to wait a long time for its continuation.

The second part of the series, namely Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, was not officially announced until 10 years later.. The project, overseen by Saber Interactive studio, was prepared for personal computers, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, while its release was taken on by Focus Entertainment.

The plot of the games in the series Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine takes place in the titular science fiction world. The first installment of the series takes us to the planet Graia, which is the World-Cause, a giant weapons factory for the soldiers of the Empire. When it falls victim to an invasion by Orcs, the Space Marines, or more precisely - the Ultramarines, or cybernetically and biologically modified soldiers wreaking havoc among the Emperor's enemies, spring into action. They are led by Captain Titus, whom we play as during the game. Things get complicated when the third side of the conflict - the Chaos Space Marines - comes to the fore....

The second part of the series allows us to once again take on the role of Captain Titus, who must once again take up arms to uncover the dark secrets of the galaxy and slaughter hordes of Tyranids.

In productions under the banner of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP). The essence of gameplay is dynamic clashes with hordes of enemies, which we fight, using both a wide range of firearms and the hero's iconic weapon - a hybrid of sword and chainsaw, known as Chainsword.. Unlike in many other TPSs, Captain Titus' tactic is not to hide behind cover, but to push forward with a battle cry on his lips.
