Wartales: The Curse of Rigel

A more direct threat in Wartales: The Curse of Rigel comes from howling beasts that were once human. This monstrous transformation can also befall our heroes, granting access to new abilities. The transformation becomes a subject of study in the camp, providing an opportunity for experiments that yield bonuses and upgrades.

The add-on also introduces a new character class, which the creators mistakenly called a "thaumaturge". An alchemy specialist manipulates clouds of steam to support allies and weaken the enemy. Inhaling his own concoctions increases the efficiency of his movements, but he forgoes personal safety, thereby risking self-destruction. The alchemist class is available for free to all Wartales players.

Story

The action of the third major expansion for Wartales takes place in a remote corner of Alazar, specifically in the county of Rigel, a valley shrouded in darkness, where the inhabitants live in the shadow of an ancient forest. The Howling Woods are said to have paths that do not stay in one place, and those who enter it often return changed (if they return at all). The increasingly frequent disappearances are causing the Crown to send people to investigate the matter.
