The action of the game takes place in a fairytale realm called the Crossroads of Dream. When the world is threatened by an invasion of dark creatures called Hoodlums, the titular protagonist and his friends decide to save it.

Developers decided to organize the game in an arcade style, so that it could be enjoyed by as many people as possible. Of course, the unique control system offered by Nintendo, i.e. tandem style touchscreen, was used very well.
