A sandbox platform game by indie studio Re-Logic, sometimes called the 2D version of the popular Minecraft. There is no set goal; your task is basically to shape the randomly-generated world around you. At first you only have a few basic tools, which allow you to dig and find resources, chop wood, and create simple structures. As the game progresses, due to the extensive crafting system, you discover better tools, allowing you to create advanced materials and to fight monsters.

An action 2D platform game starring a sympathetic creature of a protagonist. The game was developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and is the fifth full-fledged installment in the series created by Michel Ancel. This time the titular protagonist and his friend Globox must face nightmares which have created amazing worlds during the 100 years they have spent in the Crossroads of Dreams. Rayman must also free the Teensies captured by the clone of the deceptive Magician.

Shovel Knight is a classical 2D platform game with elements of adventure and RPG, set in fantasy world. The title is a debut of the independent studio Yacht Club Games, hiring, among others, former employees of the experienced Way Forward studio. In the production, we impersonate a titular knight who, with the help of a legendary shovel-like weapon, fights the mysterious members of The Order of No Quarter.

New Super Mario Bros. U is a platformer maintained in the classic, arcade convention produced by the development team of Nintendo under the leadership of Takashi Tezuka. The main characters, plumbers Mario and Luigi, go to the rescue of Princess Peach, whose castle was besieged by Bowser's army. The title has been designed with the capabilities of the Wii U console in mind.

A two-dimensional shooter which takes place in the gangster underworld during the 20s. The game was developed by a small Belgium studio Crazy Monkey. In the title the player assumes the role of a gangster whose family terrorizes the streets. However, trouble begins when a rival mafia appears in the city. What’s worse, hordes of zombies are conquering the streets.

A platformer with puzzle game features, developed by Upper One Game studio. The story of Never Alone is based on Inuit beliefs, with players taking control of a young girl from the Inupiaq tribe who sets on a dangerous journey with her white fox to save her people and stop the arrival of the eternal blizzard. During her adventure, she will meet many creatures from Inuit legends, such as Sky People, Rolling Heads or Blizzard Man.

An adventure-platformer featuring puzzle elements. It was developed by the Finnish Frozenbyte studio, known for Shadowgrounds - a series of isometric shooters. The story is set in a colorful fantasy world, where the player gets to lead a team of three characters: a wizard, a knight and a thief. Using a mysterious device called Trine, they must save the kingdom from the undead. The gameplay mechanics were inspired by classic platformers.

This time, the players received a completely new hero – Plague Knight, who is known for being one of the antagonists in the base game. After his defeat at the hands of Shovel Knight, the fledging protagonist decides to leave his former allies and embark on a journey in search of ingredients necessary for creation of a mysterious, powerful potion.

An old-school 2D platform game which comes with an unusual plot and an unconventional character development system. Adventures of Pip was funded on Kickstarter, which made it possible for the game to reach owners of different gaming systems. The player is taken to the Pixel Kingdom, where life as such is driven by the never ending flow of bits. The world is endangered by the evil Queen however, who has kidnapped the beautiful princess and conquered the lands with the help of her warriors.

Mutant Mudds Super Challenge is a follow-up to the 2012 platform game developed by Renegade Kids. The game is directed mostly to the players who finished the first installment of the series and works as a bridge to its upcoming sequel. We play as a regular kid named Max who has to save his planet from the invasion of the aliens known as the Mudd creatures. Max is equipped only with a water pistol and a special backpack that allows him to jump higher and farther.

A remastered version of Antipole, a futuristic platform game released in 2011, created by Saturnine Games. You play as Johnny Hurricane, an agent wielding extraordinary abilities, whose task is to stop an invasion of dangerous robots. The game is set on the invaders' ship, and you move around it using a gravity manipulator, which allows you to walk on walls and ceilings, as well as to change your opponents' location.

The game is full of references to cult titles from the 80's and 90's, and as the fun progresses, we'll unlock access to more legendary machines for players.

An old-school platformer with RPG elements, described as the spiritual successor to Zelda II from 1987. In the game we play the role of a hero, who falls victim to a rare curse, and his body tries to capture an ancient demon, known as Satar. Our protagonist must find a cure for the curse and defeat the demon before it is too late.

Lynn and the Spirits of Inao is a 2D platform game developed by the French studio Bloomylight. The game takes place in the magical land of Inao where people and spirits live in harmony. Their peaceful existence is threatened by the tormented souls that, driven by pain, start to hunt mortals. It is up to Lynn, a girl who was trained by Inao's highest priestess, and her small demon companion Aku to fix that.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is a 2D platformer available for PCs. While playing, the player crosses vast levels, solves puzzles, overcomes obstacles and fights enemies. The collection of various equipment and armaments also plays an important role, and many of the items held can be upgraded. All this was done in a style modelled on productions from 32-bit consoles.

Six Miles Under is a debut project of the independent Polish studio Looney Bin Studios. We are talking about a beat 'em up platform skill, characterized by two-dimensional graphics in an interesting style and postapocalyptic realities. As Preston Trencher, a former bodyguard, we cross the underground city and eliminate dozens of opponents standing on our way to revenge.

Original, two-dimensional side-scrolling arcade game, which is a debut production of independent Finnish studio Frogmind. In Badland we take control over unspecified creature and our task is to lead it through levels filled with various obstacles and traps. However, the game is complicated by the fact that we are gradually joined by more of our hero's brethren, so as the game progresses we are forced to control more and more creatures.

The players assume the role of a thief breaking into various secure complexes to steal valuables. Successful heists equal ample paydays that can be spent on upgrades for your tools, especially your main tool of the trade – special, customizable gloves.

A classic 2.5D platformer, accompanying The Peanuts Movie, based on Charles M. Schulz's comic strip - Peanuts - that was published from 1950 to 2000. Story-wise, the game is not connected to the comic or the 2015 movie, but it is similar to them in how it presents characters and environments. The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy's Grand Adventure lets you play as one of the key characters of the comic – Snoopy the dog. He is trying to find his master and friends, who are playing hide and seek.

A re-imagining of a 2D platform puzzle game for Wii and NDS, which is a remake of a classic hit originally published in 1989 for Famicom (NES). The game tells the story of a boy and his bizarre, jelly-like fella called Blobert. He needs to find a way to save his planet Blobolonia from an evil emperor, who imposes an unusual diet on his people - composed entirely of sweets.
