My Time at Sandrock: Big Game Hunter - walkthrough

On this page, you can find a walkthrough for Big Game Hunter side mission, during which you'll help Elsie catch a fox. We will help you with crafting the right bait and gathering the herbs that will heal the wounded animal.

Starting the task

There is a requirement in order to unlock this mission - you need to have 100 Relationship Points with Elsie. Once you reach this level in the relationship, a quest marker will appear on your map. Elsie can be found in the desert to the west of your workshop. Talk to the girl to learn more.

Prepare Bait

Elsie will introduce you to the plan, but she won't reveal what animal you are to catch. Nevertheless, a bait will be required.

To craft the bait, you need:

1. Sandworm x3 - found randomly in the desert. .
2. Egg x2 - received from defeated Rocket Roosters. You can find these opponents nearby - there are many of them in the desert.

Talk to Elsie

You now need to talk to Elsie - she is found in the starting area during the day. If its nighttime, you can find her in the city. Simply follow the mission marker to find her.

Wait for Appointment

The next meeting will take place on the next day.

Be on Time!

In the received letter, Elsie will ask you to meet in the designated location, 19:00 sharp. When its time, travel southwest from your workshop. Elsie is waiting and the bait is placed already.

A cut-scene will take place depicting Elsie attempts to catch a desert fox. The attempt will unfortunately be unsuccessful, and what's more, Elsie has injured the animal. You need to find medicinal herbs in order to nurse the fox back to health.

Look for Medicinal Herbs

What you need is found in the desert, but start searching near the town, rather than the train tracks. You need:

1. Yellow Lavender x3 - any Axe can harvest it.
2. Oregano x2 - picked up from the ground, without having to use tools

Once you got the items, return to Elsie and give her the herbs.

Follow Elsie

Run after Elsie until you reach the injured fox. The girl will give the animal herbs and the fox will immediately feel better. Elsie will thank you for your help in her quest. This completes the quest.
