My Time at Sandrock: Keep on Rockin - walkthrough

This page contains a walkthrough of the Keep on Rockin' main quest, during which Rocky will commission you to construct a sorting machine. You will learn where to get the device's diagram, how to build it and where to install it.

Starting the quest

The quest is available the day after completing the Paradise Lost and Found main quest. Head to the area near the Eufaula Salvage, where Rocky and friends are bidding farewell to their co-worker. After a short conversation, Rocky will commission you to build a Sorting Machine. First, however, you need to get the device's diagram.

Talk to Qi

Head to the Research Center and talk to Qi. It takes 5 Data Disks to develop the Sorting Machine's diagram. Give the discs to Qi, and he'll tell you that he is already getting to work.

Wait for Diagrams

Creating the diagram will take until the end of the day, so there is nothing left to do but take care of other activities. You'll find the finished blueprint in your mailbox the following day.

Construct the Sorting Machine

Approach the Assemby Station and select the Sorting Machine diagram. To build the device, you'll need the following materials:

1. Bronze Plate x4 - can be crafted with the Processor using 12 Bronze Bars in total (these can be crafted in the Furnace).
2. Bearing x5 - obtainable by processing Mechanical Scraps in the Recycler.
3. Copper Screw x6 - can be crafted with the Grinder using 3 Copper Bars in total (these can be crafted in the Furnace).
4. Metal Coil x2 - can be found in the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins on levels 7 to 11. There is a good chance that you have a few of these in your storage, as this material is rarely used for construction.

After building the Sorting Machine, place the device in your inventory.

Install the Sorting Machine

Head to the junkyard in the Eufaula Salvage (where you accepted the quest) and enter the facility. Place the Sorting Machine by the fence, at the location indicated by the quest marker.

Rocky will come to you and thank you for the work you have done. After a short cut-scene, the quest will be completed.
