Activision is Working on Big-budget Mobile Call of Duty Game

Job offers published by Activision reveal that the studio is working on a mobile AAA Call of Duty game. It could be a port of the popular Warzone.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Activision is looking for people for new in-house studio - Activision Mobile;
  • The team will create a mobile Call of Duty from the AAA segment;
  • Some fans of the series think it could be a port of CoD: Warzone.

Activision has released new job listings that reveal what the company is currently working on. The devs are looking for employees who have experience working on mobile games. They would work at a new in-house studio called Activision Mobile. Many offers of this kind were published, which reveals that the team is being built from scratch. For now, the company has not officially announced its establishing.

It was also not revealed exactly what title the new team is to work on. However, the information was shared that it will be a mobile Call of Duty installment from the AAA segment. The company strongly emphasizes that Activision Mobile will try to transfer the experience known from PC and consoles to mobile platforms.

Of course, it's hard to say based on this information whether the studio will create a completely new game or maybe port one of the already known games to other devices. However, the job offers published by the company have raised the expectations of the Call of Duty community. According to many people, Activision Mobile may be working on a port of the very popular Warzone. Rumors of this kind have already made rounds on the web.

It should be noted, however, that these are only speculations. Just as likely is the scenario of the team creating a completely new title, which will join the Call of Duty franchise. We can be sure only that it will be a project much larger than standard mobile games.
