Microsoft is celebrating the fifth birthday of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition with a bang. Players have been given gifts, and a warmly received DLC has been released, delighting fans with its campaign.
Yesterday, the game Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition celebrated its fifth birthday. To encourage new players to join the fun, the developers have prepared an attractive offer.
The game's fifth anniversary was also celebrated with the launch of the latest DLC, Chronicles: Battle for Greece. The expansions offers a 21-mission campaign set in ancient Greece and Persia over a span of 100 years. DLC allows you to guide three anti-civilizations: Athenians, Spartans, and Achaemenids.
Give me more of those! This is definitely the best DLC released so far, and the interesting campaigns are exactly what I'm looking for!
The devs have raised the bar in AoE2 campaigns.
This campaign is unlike anything we've seen in AoE before. You get the impression as if it was a completely new game. (...) I hope that we will see more such expansions in the future.
The game continues to grow through the use of expansions and updates, which isn't surprising given that Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition still enjoys great popularity on Steam.
So we can expect that the game will be developed for a long time.
