Ahsoka Will Get a Villain Like Never Before in Star Wars; 'Ambitious Force User'
The Disney+ show Ahsoka will introduce an adversary we have not seen in the Star Wars universe so far. The main character's enemy will be the mysterious Shin Hati, and the actress hopes that fans will love her character.
In Ahsoka Anakin Skywalker's former apprentice will face not only the famous Grand Admiral Thrawn. The upcoming Disney+ show will also introduce Shin Hati, a dark side Force user. However, she is expected to stand out from the antagonists that fans have so far encountered in Star Wars (via Entertainment).
According to actress Ivanna Sakhno, who plays the character, Shin Hati is a truly intriguing Force user, having something more than simply the darkness needed for a main antagonist. Sakhno also mentioned that a special bond has formed between her and Hati:
"She is strong, ambitious and wields the Force [...]. I hope that, despite her darkness, we will be able to expand our understanding of darkness and where it came from. I love her [Shin Hati -ed. note]. I care for her and feel that it is my job to take care of her and protect her," she said.
The actress added that her character is a very skilled fighter and lightsaber user. However, nothing more was revealed, as Ivanna Sakhno wants viewers to discover Ahsoka's opponent themselves while watching the show.
It seems that Shin Hati's uniqueness is to be found in her suggested multidimensionality. Disney+'s production may show why the warrior has decided to turn to the dark side and what motivates. However, it's hard to say how this would make her stand out from other enemies known from the Star Wars universe.
It is to be hoped that the show will confirm the words of the actress and indeed fans will get a new look at those who use the dark side of the Force. Whether this will happen, we will find out later in the summer, as the Ahsoka's premiere is scheduled to take place in August 2023 on Disney+.
