Blizzard released the full list of changes that will be introduced with the start of Season 8. Barbarians may be especially pleased with the buffs.
As previously announced, a stream took place yesterday during which Blizzard presented the 8th Season of Diablo 4 in detail, titled Belial's Return. You can watch the recording below. At the same time, a full list of changes that will be introduced to the game on April 29th was also published.
The changes focus on the game balance. Among the most important, it's worth mentioning the buff of the Whirlwind skill for the Barbarian class. However, considering that the class will soon receive the cosmetic outfit of Guts from the Berserk manga, it's no wonder that Blizzard wants to make it more fun to play.
The changes concerning the Blizzard ability, used by Sorcerers, also sound interesting. The class got a new term "frostbiting," which means extra cold damage dealt over time. Adding to these changes in the passive ability, Avalanche, and a new unique helm (Hail of Verglas), the ice mage build can be really strong.
Of course, all classes received many smaller and larger improvements. If you've already decided which one to play, make sure to check the list to see if the ability you've chosen hasn't been changed.
Among the other fixes prepared by Blizzard, it's worth mentioning:
Let's quickly go over the main attractions of Season 8. The biggest star of the update is Belial, who will take the place of the most powerful boss available in Diablo 4. He'll also appear in a smaller form in the game, where he can surprise us during battles with other bosses. Defeating it will provide us with a key, giving access to a stronger iteration.
The new seasonal mechanic will be the boss powers, which we gain by defeating specific opponents in the game. In total, we will collect 24 of them and they will have 48 combinations with modifiers. A random event was also added, which is nothing more than a classic boss rush, along with a reliquary system that refreshes classic battle passes.
Diablo 4, along with the Vessel of Hatred expansion, is available on PC, PS4, PS5, XOne, and XSX/S. The game (without the expansion) can also be played as part of the Game Pass subscription.
