American Truck Simulator will arrive on February 2016
American Truck Simulator is going to hit PC on February 3rd, 2016. The first portion of the game will feature several trucks and the state of California. More content should arrive in the future.
Finally, the official release date of American Truck Simulator was announced to great joy of fans all around the world (not only the Americans). The game will arrive on February 3rd, 2016 at both digital and retail stores. This will actually be just the first portion of the game, featuring several trucks and the roads and cities of the state of California.
However, SCS Software has very ambitious plans for expanding American Truck Simulator post-launch, as they are eventually planning to recreate all of North America and get a license from every relevant truck manufacturer in order to expand the truck roster. By the way, analogical ideas are considered for the beloved Euro Truck Simulator 2. These and other plans we discussed with the creators in this interview.
As for now Truck Simulator series is available exclusively for PC players. It is possible, though not very likely, that some day it will also hit consoles.
