Apple May Reveal Its Car in 2021

According to recent leaks, the design of Apple's first car is doing well. What's more, a launch or presentation of the vehicle would take place next year. The car is to have an autonomous drving mode, just like Tesla.

It seems that Apple is still working on its own car design. There have been rumors that next year something "more" is supposed to happen in the subject. It is not clear whether it will be a launch, a presentation or just official information. The initiative, which was previously called iCar (the name is used by the manufacturer of diagnostic interfaces for cars, so Apple may have a problem with that particular name) is an autonomous electric vehicle.

MacRumors reports on the preparations of Taiwanese car component manufacturers to increase production and it is highly probable that this is related to supplying parts for assembly of Apple cars. A Taiwan's Economic Daily News report is cited as the source of the information. According to him, one of the directors of Taiwan companies was supposed to say that Apple's autonomous car should appear in late 2021.

Slightly memetic proposals for the look of Apple's car, created by the artist

This stands in opposition to the previous information, which predicted the vehicle's launch for 2023-2025. Apple's electric car is to be able to drive autonomously based on a special chip produced by TMSC. This Taiwanese manufacturer of microchips is known for its cooperation with the company.

If this information is confirmed, Tesla would have dangerous competition on its home soil. If, of course, Apple cars would have sporting aspirations, because the Elon Musk's brand aims rather at the "high-performance" segment. And this, unfortunately, we do not know, although many people believe that the "iVehicle" will be a rather small, modern compact, which, according to old rumors, instead of satisfying the need for speed was to be used to drive company's workers around Cupertino.
